• 11 Million Takeover Day

  We are hoping that Sir Al Aynsley-Green's, The Children's Commissioner, visit to Lincolnshire (yes, it's a real coup* that he's coming!) on the 6th November will spur Lincolnshire forward and emphasise the importance of Takeover Day.

  I will keep you posted as to good examples of quality work/activities coming out of the day.

• Participation Matters

  We need to look at ways of widening participation (involvement & decision-making) and diversity (all walks of life).
  
  Capturing young people's opinions and ideas so that we get greater representation, whether that be about a club/event, youth councils, council services or national policies impacting on young people, needs a good makeover. Sites like Bebo is one such way to do this. More and more Councils are looking at this as a way to tap into young people. Whether this will work well - well time (or hits) will tell. What's changing is, that the choice to have your say is there whereas it perhaps wasn't before and this can't be a bad thing, can it?
  
  So I apologise in advance if this seems to come over as an invasion of your space - that is not my intention. My intention is simply for you to have the opportunity to have your say. Whether you do or not is up to you!
  
  You have a voice, have your say, make it count! Change things for the better!
