There really has been a lot going on this week, for a start we had Mardi Gras this weekend. My iPod has also arrived so I got to play with that this weekend too!

On Friday Katie (V) started passing me notes in class asking me if I wanted to go home with her this weekend to the coast to go to a parade. I said yes of course, so I then had about an hour to pack for a weekend at Katie's with no idea what we were doing or what the weather would be like!! Friday night Katie;s Dad took us (Katie, Matt and I) to Saki's - YUM!! I am loving Hibachi!

Saturday we went to a parade in Pascagoula, the sun was hot but the wind was freezing! I caught lots of beads and some other little things and had a really great time. No pics tho as I let Tyson (7yr old) play with my camera so I got some very 'interesting' photos then my batteries ran out! That evening we all went to Matt's Mum's new house, her husband had a wee bit too much to drink so we had to be REALLY quiet! I was sleeping in the office but the air bed (which Matt had pumped up outside to be quiet) was too big with all the stuff in there, so we had to remove the desk and chair. The bed JUST about fitted! Unfortunately all the furniture moving woke the sleeping Steve, but he was fine. Matt's Mum also gave me some really pretty beads as it was my first Mardi Gras (I did not have to flash her to get them)

Sunday and Matt's Mum made me a crawfish omlette, it was delicious! Especially as I don't really like omlette much! We then spent the day at Katie's Mum's house with Violet and her kids (Tyson and Neveah) it was sweet. I also went to the mall and bought new jeans and a hoody ($7!!) that said "Hug me not a tree" on it. After Desperate Housewives we made our way back to Hattiesburg.

A very enjoyable weekend!

We had Monday and Tuesday off this week which was GREAT!! I spent Monday recovering from my eventful weekend and lack of sleep. I also discovered that I had lost my key and card at some point, so I was not allowed to go anywhere unaccompanied, and I also could not go to the gym

Tuesday was Mardi Gras! and Sarah's 21st birthday. We (Sarah, Katie, Zulma and I) had planned to go to New Orleans but our lift (Luter) was stuck in Jackson and couldn't make it back so instead we dedicated the day to having fun in Hattiesburg



We went to IHOP (International House of Pancakes) to get some pancakes for shrove tuesday, we ordered and then the waitress stage whispered "the pancakes are free today" so we just had to pay for the juice!! A GREAT start to the day. Then we walked to the cinema to see 'Music and Lyrics' which was very good, bit loved up but not too bad. The soundtrack is awesome I want to buy it lol. After the film we came back to the room to 'chill' for a bit then went to the Chinese restaurant, it was a buffet and it was delicious!



Even Katie could find something to eat! I had a phone call from a drunken friend on the way back from the Chinese and it made me VERY happy to speak to her. Even if her boyfriend was distracting her from our conversation! We were super worn out after all of this walking so then we came back to the room (having dropped Zulma off at her house) and collapsed!!

Wednesday has been an interesting day. I awoke with a sore throat but thought nothing of it, I finally made it to Maths on time!! (It starts at 9am and i can never work out what time I should leave the room so I either end up too early or a wee bit late). Katie (V) did not turn up for Civil War class because she had STREP which made me super paranoid about my sore throat. In my break when I usually go for food I went to the doctor's instead to check it out.

I don't have Strep and I even had time to get myself a new card (to replace the lost one) so now I am allowed out by myself

The best news of the day by far was that my Religion and Politics class was cancelled, this meant that I had LOADS of time to call my bestest bud before she went to work! I did rath
