I hate the humdrum boring bourgeois existence that millions seem to follow so readily and intend to keep travelling for the rest of my life. Oh and by the way, Bloukrans Bungy in South Africa - Music
- The greatest music has to be classical, my favourite composer is Tchaikovsky - and the Pathetique Symphony my favourite piece - music for the dark night of the soul.
- Films
- Double Indemnity, Brief Encounter, Whatever Happened to Baby Jane, Vertigo, Psycho, A Taste Of Honey, Deliverance, Doctor Zhivago, Clockwork Orange, The Devils, Women In Love, Midnight Express, Brideshead Revisited, Gandhi, Elephant Man, Scum, Silence Of The Lambs, Once Were Warriors, Shawshank Redemption, Trainspotting, Gladiator, Hannibal, Road to Perdition, Lord Of The Rings and Touching The Void (the most incredible mountaineering epic and struggle for survival I've ever seen) and El Laberinto del Fauno, a gothic fairy tale for adults, with an unusual ending. Quite a good selection covering over half a century.
- Sports
- Any thing adventurous e.g. bungy jumping, white- water rafting, abseiling, hillwalking, swimming.
- Scared Of
- The bourgeois Western world with its rampant consumerism, market forces and corporate identity - in fact I hate such things
- Happiest When
- Travelling in exotic lands - anything different from the Western bourgeois routine
- Favourite Books
- Fiction - Anything by Dostoyevsky, Orwell, Steinbeck, Edgar Allan Poe, Hermann Hesse
Non-Fiction - Travelogues, Real-life events, Environmental and Cultural issues - Other Interests
- Anything to do with the environment and plants, especially trees. And writing about it. I'm also vegetarian - give up the meat and save the world.

Hi Terry
We going to a very touristic place between Tarragona and Cambrils... The city is called Salou.. But with our 4 children, we dont have the choice ...It will be very relaxing...a complex hotel with animations for kids...etc.. not the kind of think you like...
but I prefer Andalusia...It's a lot more typical..and more friendly.. people talk to you in the streets even though they dont know you
What about you? where exactly are you going in Turkey when and for how long ?
BTW.. I have a new scottish friend I met in Friendzzi..which is very addicted
and maybe a waist of time.. dont know..
ok.. have a good time.. in Turkey..
xx

Hi Terry
Thanks for your comment..
you seem very excited by your travelling experiences... Im sure I will find that book... And yes of course they re parts of our world, very dificult to cross... But this is life... at the same time.. it' is an oportunity to think about what we can do ... instead of watching TV ... reports are not the same.. Anyway.. Im sure I will do the same one day... my kids are still young but I will be able to afford it..
thank you to share your own experiences with us
