You Can Tell Your An Irish Dancer When..
● You randomly start dancing when you are walking or sitting down.
● You can walk without swinging your arms.
● You know how to pronounce feis and ceili.
● Walking on your tiptoes is perfectly normal.
● All you talk about is dancing.
● You have more medals and trophies than you know what to do with.
● You have a whole playlist dedicated to dance songs on your computer/Ipod/MP3 Player and own several CDs of just dance music.
● You have bigger calf muscles then any of your friends.
● You've practiced your hornpipe in the swimming pool before.
● You can still hear accordion music three days after a feis.
● Being screamed at by your teacher is actually constructive.
● You are used to funny looks from non-Irish dancers when wearing your wig, dress, poodle socks and/or shoes in public.
● Two-Three hour practices are normal.
● You try and teach friends a dance and they don't even get past the leadround before getting confussed.
● “Riverdance" and “Lord of the Dance" are inspirational as well as entertaining.

i got my first 1st a few weeks ago ! i was so glad and i went to a school disco n missed dancing and now its shut because my teacher isint welll and i need to go to a new one 
I am enjoing it but i miss my old teacher and btw for the people below who said irish dancing bores me why are you on thiss site then ?Cause this is a site for people who love it not hate it ! I love heavys i think there better to watch and are easier to dance in i love watching people that are in championship when they do their heavies cause they are actually amazing 
. Faviourte dance would have to be treeble reel as its the fastest dance i do and i hate really slow dances
ma mum just made a brand new dress for me i went to newcastle and last week i went to hamilton and am a openn dancer for ma slip jig and intermediet for the rest
