Ja, o mnie i jeszcze raz ja: The MAC will be the new landmark arts and cultural venue at the heart of Belfast's Cathedral Quarter. When completed in early 2011, The MAC will be 6 stories high and its gross floorspace will be 5,500 square metres – the equivalent of fifty-five 3-bedroom semi-detached houses. The scheme will include 1,000 square metres of visual art galleries, two theatres (one 350-seat and one120-seat), education, workshop and rehearsal rooms and a dance studio, as well as office accommodation for the arts centre’s staff and resident arts groups and a destination restaurant and bar.The MAC will showcase the best visual art, dance, theatre, music and comedy the world has to offer, allied with a dramatic expansion of OMAC’s current community engagement programmes. This combination of activities,spaces and artistic ethos will make The MAC unique, helpingto secure Belfast’s place on the European cultural map.

What is it?: The MAC is an amazing new arts centre for Belfast opening in May 2011. The MAC will be the new home of the Old Museum Arts Centre currently located in College Square North.
Where is it?: The MAC will be located behind St Anne’s Cathedral.
When finished The MAC will be 6 stories high and its gross floorspace will be 5, 500 square metres – the equivalent of fifty-five 3-bedroom semi-detached houses.
What’s it for?: The MAC will be a space where art and creativity can thrive. The new venue will play host to the best in local and international theatre, dance, music, comedy and film. The MAC will also be a centre for visual art attracting some of the most incredible exhibitions in the world from old masters to new and emerging artists.
Most importantly The MAC will be a place where everyone can engage in the arts not just as audiences but as participants and practitioners. The new venue will offer a wide range of opportunities including workshops, courses and classes for individuals and artists of every level to develop their talents and skills and generate new ideas and innovations.
