Reasons why the pipeline should go ahead!!!! Listen up crusties!!!!!
1. Ireland needs gas and we need it quick.
2. The gas pipline project has been approved by Bord Pleanála in 2004.
3. IBEC have came out and said it would be in our best intrests in the economy if it went ahead.
4. High court ruling meant that shell had the right to lay pipeline and that if anyone stood in their way they would be prosecuted.
5. Most of the people who are protesting up in mayo arent from Ireland.
6. Most of the Mayo people are in favour of the gas pipline the crusties will try and tell ye that they have the full backing of the people of Mayo.
7. If the mayo people felt so strongly about pipeline they would have voted for TD's that were against the pipeline all the TD's in Mayo represent Fianna fail and Fine gael.
8. All availible avenues for negotiations are exausted now the locals fear that the pipeline is a massive danger to their livleyhoods which isnt true.
9. the shell to sea campaign reckon that the government are in cohoots with shell along with the garda siochanna but most of them draw social welfare and are putting massive strain on garda budgets by needlessly intruding onto private land and by blocking public highways which the tax payer pays for. These people are very narrow minded.
