- Good day my friends, I am Caroline and I welcome you to my world.
Well I graduated woo, and I managed to get a 2:1! But I miss my course! And my fellow zoology geeks! I am a year and a bit through a three year long distance p/t masters thingy which no one understands so I no longer bother explaining it haha. It's fun anyway! I get to play with beasties! Nature is my passion and I can't see that ever changing.
I have an incredibly strong urge to do more travelling, I only got a taster of South America and I want to see a lot more! I'll learn Spanish first though, I practice by speaking to seagulls. They are Mexican you know!
I now live in a flat with my beardy man, five years together and we haven't killed each other yet so that's a good sign!
I started my new job as an Assistant Ecologist now, woo, it's awesomeness to the maxxx. I play with beasties for a living!

Oh we also have a slight obsession with Come Dine with Me and Masterchef....it's shameful but they are brilliant!

- When I finish work and don't have coursework to do! When I have enough pennies to buy stuff from Lush, I am more than a little addicted! When with friends and/or hanging with the smelly beardy man that follows me about =P, playing with nanimals (includes hugging snails) =D, oh and EATING, eating is good it's a wonder I'm not overweight haha, and sleeping especially when I get to sleep in...till 8am!!

- I now have two pet snails Gerald and Lawrence, they are Arianta arbustorum's (that should be in italics but I can't work out how on Bebo!), they is uber cool and like getting baths and eating pak choi, red pepper, cucumber and corgette skins

So what will 2009 bring?
So 2008 is almost over, it was a very quick year! In some ways it feels like not much happened, but I worked very hard and was always busy so I must have achieved something? Hrm.. Well I had a few jobs, but spent 8 months at Hazlehead being a technician, it was alright, sometimes stressful, sometimes mind-numbingly boring..but my contract there came to an end on Friday. It was a bit sad, but mostly because I'd be leaving the lovely ladies in the graphics room that always looked after me. I won't really miss much else about the job. In 2008 I also did more of my masters course, I'm over 1/3 through it now, it's getting really hard work and the journey down there is getting seriously old but it'll be worth it in the end.
So in 2009 I start a new job, I'm a real lab technician in a placey in Tullos, long hours but good pennies. And more course stuff woo. I also NEED to get my driving licence, I've been putting it off too long, I promised myself I would get one before 2009 and that clearly hasn't happened so before 2010!
So I now have this two weeks off, it's so strange. It's my first day of doing nothing, and I hate it, I'm so freaking bored. It's driving me insane already. And it's not like I'm sitting doing nothing, I've cleaned, cooked, had visits from my Auntie and Cousin, phoned my mammy, wrapped presents and emailed everyone I needed to email. But now it's 3 and it's at least 4 hours until Liam gets home and have no clue what to do. I always complain about being busy but at least you don't get time to be so bored! I should be doing my report though...meh.
So by the end of 2009 hopefully I'll be driving, be starting my dissertation for my course and perhaps in a nicer job. And because as of May I won't need to pay any more installments for my course I'll have pennies to save and buy pretty things YAY.
I still want to travel, save the animals, live in the jungle and get a fantastical job doing on the prior, but I don't thing these thing will happen in 2009, maybe 2010.......1 commento 336 giorni

Hola!
Well it´s been two and a half weeks in Ecuador now, and its ace! I´m having a great time, the volunteer work is very hard but its worth it when you know it´s helping the animals (i.e. we carried rocks and sand in bags up a massing freaking hill to make a concrete base for an isolation unit for new animals) but the animals were cool! I just finished my 2 weeks in the jungle place which was amazing, bugs galore! I was in my element, soo many pictures! On monday I head up the andes woohoo, working at 3000 metres above sea level, eek! But more animals there to play with and it´s a bit closer to civilisation! In Baños this weekend, was here last weekend also, its pretty and its a gringo town so lots of souvenear shops and english menus which makes a change heh. I got a massage last week and went to some pools this week its great! Anyways I need to go off on more adventures for now (going out for tea woo) until next time me amigos. Chow.0 commenti 835 giorni
