- She started singing from the tender age of 6 and began learning piano and clarinet at the age of 9. From this age she realised music was all she wanted to do in her life. She soon started singing at school, taking part in local talent shows and eventually decided to start gigging in local pubs, clubs and hotels singing mostly soul/jazz covers.
She started gigging from the age of 15, and have been a resident jazz singer in a Knutsford hotel for 4 years. Her singing has taken her from as far from the bottom of Cornwall, to Ibiza, Greece, London and of course back to her roots; the North West, Manchester.
Laura is back
she performed on GMTV on wednesday 19th of august performing her possibly new single "You should have known"
lets try and get laura number one with her new single when it comes out in octoberish !

Melanie11/9/08Why did laura go? why are the judges commenting on the contestants looks or the way they dance on stage, becoz the prize is a recording contract, which does not involve you being able to see them. when they record there CD your not going to be able to see them if you play it on your cd player are you? Louis is pathetic, sending home one of the most talented people in the show? why not ruth, obviously the public dont like her if she is in the bottom two AGAIN. so take the hint from the public and get rid, and as for daniel huh why is he there? laura goes out of the competition with an amazing voice but yet daniel who has had bad comments from the judges from the start stays in? well im disgusted in Louis. >

Louis only voted her off because she was the biggest threat to all the other contestants & he wanted to protect his own group from being voted off. she'll get a record deal without a doubt. like simon said "you have a huge pontential future ahead of you". hell yeah she has! love you laura xxxx

Chanel.11/9/08I dont know who to blame more, the public or louis! She should never have went, she had one of the best voices and was such an amazing role model to girls. I thought she was amazing, i was nearly crying when louis said he was sending her home. we all love you laura. xxx
