Firstly a big thanks to everyone who made it down to see Subculture's Harri help us blow out the candles on our First Birthday last weekend!

Liquid Funk would like to invite you to party with us on Fri 30th Oct, down at the Brunswick Hotel Basement.

This month's fallen just right for a special Halloween-themed night, so expect a spookily decorated venue with some special themed drinks arranged for the night.

Fancy dress would be great but it's not a must - as a wee incentive we'll be running a fancy dress contest with great prizes for best dressed boy and girl.

- not to mention CD giveaways on the night and another few surprises that will have you jumping out your seat

This month we are delighted to welcome down 2 of Glasgow's favourite residents Ed-FM from underground house crew 'Fiasco' and Ralph of the Art School's anything-goes 'One More Tune'.

Both nights are flying just now and we're delighted to have secured the services of the boys for our October party.


We're also pushing the boat out on the door price, with guys paying only £3 and girls can enjoy Free Entry all night..

So for the best in jackin, soulful underground house (with a few classics thrown in good measure), head down to the Brunswick where you can join us at one of the cities best attitude-free house nights!

Liquid Funk … One Year On.

With our first Birthday rapidly approaching we're letting you know where we're at and what we have in store for you lucky clubbers.

Our first birthday is almost upon us and as anyone whose put on a night in a city as cut-throat as Glasgow will tell it's a massive achievement!!

We've enjoyed some great nights (and a few blips, I won't lie) along the way but Liquid Funk is establishing itself as one of the coolest little club nights in the town.

In a few weeks - Friday 28th Aug to be exact - we welcome back Nino, one of our first guests last year, a young DJ who has taken the local scene by storm since he played at one of our first parties, with his own 'Blink' venture in Club 69 and upcoming nights at Soundhaus and the Arches - he's one that you'll be hearing a lot more about..


Our official birthday party is in September and we thought it appropriate to ask Glasgow's finest Harri to help us celebrate - the man who helped put Glasgow on the clubbing map worldwide - what would Glasgow be without Subculture??

October see's Ed FM Marco, one of the cities finest Jackin House Dj's and promoter of Fiasco touch down at Liquid Funk, no stranger to the big stage, Ed's recently played over at Space Ibiza…enough said!!


Finally our most exciting booking yet, we welcome Toolroom Knights Mark Storie, Mark has a stellar reputation as perhaps London's finest techno DJ and is a real coup for the Brunswick.

Wth a jam packed schedule before he touches down in Glasgow with an Ibiza tour including Eden, Bora Bora and Hush and London gigs at Pacha, Ministry of Sound Egg and many many more - And lets not forget the countless chart topping tracks on Beatport Mark has knocked out of the last few years =)

Liquid Funk are proud to offer Glasgow clubland an alternative to the same old names being banded every month - in one of the cities best intimate venues and 2010 promises to be even bigger!
