Late October last year, two young guys from South London decided to write some songs together after they got talking in a science class.
After a few beers and the help of two other versatile, talented and eager musicians that also shared the same dream, songs were written and imaginary gigs were performed in the minds of the band that is now known as FranKo. Five months passed and they'd recorded their first E.P at Metropolis Studios with renowned producer Jim Lowe (who also works with Stereophonics, The Foo Fighters, Manic Street Preachers)
The band's confidence in their strong, catchy material showed on stage, and after only performing three gigs, FranKo had won the ULU Battle of the Bands in London. They’re now busy writing, recording and gigging at venues in and around the South East of England. They've just undertaken an amazing tour of Thailand (with gigs in Bangkok and appearances on MTV and loads of radio stations!), while plans are now also coming together
