I can escape
I am a young person with non-Indigenous and Indigenous friends. I was thinking about the other day that by being non-indigenous i have more opportunities to escape from everything that unfortunately has been happening for generations in everyday lives of Indigenous people. As I'm not surrounded by these issues 24/7. This is what makes me frustrated because for non-Indigenous people to learn and become educated it is not as nearly as hard as it is for Indigenous people.

Whitening Race
Heya i'm reading atm an amazing book, it's called 'whitening Race' and it just turns the focus around, which isn't done that often in making non-indigenous people reflect on their own culture about the way they live their lives in and around other cultures. Because too often we as non-idigeneous people too often don't stop and think about our actions because we regard them as the norm.
