I dread getting email from Bebo, because the vast majority of it is a message from some exotic sounding woman and the message is always the same.

"Hi, I saw your profile. I like. Let's go on m|sn mess enger scamwhorelove@hotmail.com xxx"

And every profile is the same. They always have just one picture of an above average looking girl most likely copied off a cam site and their profile description somewhat suggestive. All their friends are guys with 6-packs out on their profile pics and the comment walls always have messages like:

"hi lolz thx 4 da add bt whu r yuu lol wb xx"

These people have no fucking clue that the profile is fake.

Plus, they give out their msn like candy. On their messages and on their profiles. Next time you get a message from a profile like this, stop and think for a second. Why on earth would an attractive woman message YOU first and all of a sudden suggestively wants to do the nasty with you? And why is her msn address so easily available? Normal girls would only give it out to people they know and trust.

But alas, some people are bound to fall for it and add their msn address, when after a message or 22, all look the same. This is when they're greeted to an automated message robot who pretends to have a conversation with you. Just type anything out of the blue and 'she' will just carry on with offering you to see her on cam and sending you a link to a site. Then, they'll start asking for your credit card details (to verify your age apparently) but this is just a sly way to get into your pocket.

You're not a pussy magnet who's somehow got the attention of every hot girl with a cam online to strip naked for you. You're just a victim of scam girls. Most probably middle-aged Nigerians. But since I, as well as several other people, keep getting these on a regular basis, it seems to be working. Gullible guys are thinking below the belt under false hopes of watching naked ladies 'go on cam' when they're being duped hook, line and sinker into giving their money away to some scammer halfway around the world. Don't fall for the bait.

Bebo, please stop these scammers from messaging me. Add a CAPTCHA feature so automated messages can't get to me. It's really pissing me the fuck fuck fucking FUCK off!

This July, all public places banned smoking on the premises, leaving those who do like putting crap in their bodies to go outside and suffer the improbability of bad weather and the inconvenience of having to go outside and back in. A good move for me personally. Can't stand the stuff. But even though it's in force, a lot of smokers packed by the truckload go outside and still do it. Still, no more pub worries of being all smokey.

Now on October 1st, the legal age for buying tobacco goes up from 16 to 18, alongside alcohol, 18 rated media and various other adult items.

On one hand, it's a good thing. People argue that many smokers start at a young age and upping the age would help discourage youths from smoking (I very much doubt anyone will stop anytime soon) and getting addicted to it. Health malarky blah blah blah.

But on the other hand, it's just gonna make the underage converted that much more desperate and vigilant to get their lips wrapped round the white stick. If you think chavs lurking outside corner shops heckling people to buy them alcohol was bad enough, making the age to buy tobacco the same as alcohol is going to see a lot more of that happening. Shopowners and passers-by risk hefty fines but also risk 'gettin' knocked aht innit mush' if they don't comply with the Asbo's primitive demands.

You make it illegal for them, they'll get it illegally. Same with booze. Age won't stop them wanting to get their hands on it, no matter how many goody goody straightedge sermons you give them. It'll just make it harder for them to obtain it and in return, harder for the people owning the stuff to refuse them. Besides, it's not like people under 16 had any trouble getting them anyway.

Now while an addiction like smoking is hard to kick, in the long-term I think it will help. It'll make aspiring young chavs (wasting their life away early with a lame lifestyle choice) one less reason to be universally despised (Gizza fag mate, brap!) and help young people to focus on other stuff. That or just the complete opposite, being a rebel by getting it illegally and showing off about it. But I'm an optimist.

To me personally, it's a good move. I don't like what smoking does to people. Not health-wise; what you do with your body is none of my concern and a little second-hand smoke here and there isn't gonna kill me anytime soon. I don't like how it turns most people into scrounging moochers, spending every last penny buying fags and even then asking for more when they're skint. Hopefully I'll see less of that once the new law comes into effect.
