HOW TO GET YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY CRITIQUED
Hi,
Many people want me to critque their photography here on bebo. The more opinions, you can get, the better. However, I don't check in here very often, as this is not my official website and I am busy shooting during the day.
I would like to suggest:
1. Pay $700.00 U.S. plus airfaire, meals and hotel to go to the biannual FOTOFEST portfolio review that goes on for several days. They have many professional photography judges who can help you. You must sign up way in advance, because photogs flock from around the globe to have their work critiqued here.
or if that price is too steep:
2. Take some college level photography courses and have your work critiqued by the instructors and other students. I did this, and had my work critiqued by one of the FotoFest portfolio judges, has he happened to be one of my instructors.
3. Get a job at a college photography department. I did this and recieved many critiques from working professional photographers.
4. Join a professional photography organization that meets regularly and go! Or an online one that votes and critiques online.
5. Join a photography club but remember, many members are there just to have fun and may not be professionals.
6. Submit your work to photography contests. I submitted to one where the judge was the founding partner of FotoFest and won Honorable Mention for my body of work. Winning for a body of work is more difficult than a single image. Find out who the judges are and don't pay anything to enter if you can help it.
I hope this helps, and please don't be offended if I don't respond with your requests for critiques, as I am truly busy and do not check in often.

Marilyn is one of those amazing creative individuals who improves anything she touches. She has worked with me and many of my professional friends to transform boring media and webistes into absolute "Wows" Best investment in marketing dollars I ever spent. Be sure to check out her other websites. This Lady has real talent. Extemely creative and reliable.
Marilyn did both the graphics and photography for my business cards, post card and website. She's a multi talented Visual Artist who has business and marketing savvy. She helped update my marketing strategies, helping to give me exposure I would not otherwise have. She will work with you until your vision is achieved.

Marilyn uses her creativity in everything she does. While she was a student in two classes that I taught at Houston Community College, she excelled in graphic design, and especially typography. Her artwork has almost a “signature” style to it, yet it is always fresh and inspiring. I highly recommend her for any creative needs.

Marilyn is an outstanding photographer and would be great asset for any organization. She has 'the eye to see an image' in her head and then to capture it. I truly believe the really good photogs in the world "Have that Eye" and see things differently that most others. I look forward to seeing more of her work in the future and perhaps there will be a project in the future where I can call on Marilyn's expertise.

I would like to express my appreciation for her quality, professional style and creativity. I included her photographs on the homepage of the Official City of Houston website this year. One of the best in Texas. And look forward to doing more projects and events in the future. Marilyn is way cool! Any organization would be lucky to have her as part of their team.
