The Thirst

THE THIRST are an electrifying indie/rock band from Brixton who are emerging as one of the premiere live acts in the UK. The Thirst blend together a vibrant sound and offers a refreshing and uplifting alternative to present youth culture. Inspired and influenced by old punk records, Hendrix, drum n’ bass and hip-hop, the result is uniquely their own. The Thirst have supported acts such as THE ROLLING STONES, THE SEX PISTOLS and BABYSHAMBLES. They have also played Glastonbury, Hyde Park Calling, Royal Albert Hall and SXSW.

VAULTS play indie pop music whilst subtly staying ahead of mainstream conformity. They met in the streets and clubs of north London and shaped their sound through their shared love of bands like Television, The Cure, Bowie and The Smiths. Vaults are a band working passionately and proving themselves through their music and energetic live shows. In their short existence VAULTS have played some of London’s top venues and supported bands such as HOT CHIP, DIE! DIE! DIE! and PETE DOHERTY.

The Dufflefolks

The Dufflefolks are a something of a musical idiosyncrasy. They regularly bring their music from the shed down the end of Daniel’s garden to venues such as the Camden Barfly, The Metro Club and Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen, as well as sessions for BBC Radio and Resonance FM. At their shows, they are gaining something of a reputation for their live set up including a cello, an autoharp, a glockenspiel and Macbook sitting alongside their more conventional instrumentation.'Great songs... Louise Hirst

Killer Cucumber

Killer Cucumber are two people and a couple of songs all done in a bed room on an old reel to reel through a PC. They like a little tape sound on thier records, muddy vocals, thin guitars and good strong words to back them up. They really are geeks

Sweetcornbread are a humble group of friends who have been recording songs together for a few years. They play a few gigs here and there and just might one day get thier fingers out and make this a full time party. Influences from Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin, Neil Young to name a few.

Ken Kobayashi
