      Hey all,

      Not that I be on here that much anymore, but Im taking some time out from djing and gigs for a while and have been since January. I need to re-discover myself in terms of my musical taste and rediscover the type of music that drove me to become a DJ, music I love, both old and new. I need new music, not the same shite week in week out. No offense, but some of you really need to get out of the 'galway girl' rut that we DJs have created.



      EVERYONE, musical or otherwise, but especially djs and musicians, regardless of what you're into (it shouldnt matter really), NEED to watch 'Part of the Weekend never dies' a documentary about the band Soulwax. THEN, you'll know what its all about.

      Soulwax are producers, remixers, Punk / rock band. Live band? DJ set? Musical act? 'Soulwax - Part of the weekend never dies' has saved my musical and djing career. Music is my life so Soulwax saved my life? Nah, not quite but SOULWAX has changed my life. As James Brown said, 'You gotta into man, you know?'




      'I think every DJ should be forced to be in a punk band for a year....... cos djing, next to video-game tester, might be the most ridiculous, simplest, easiest, most overpaid job on the planet

      This year sees the 10th anniversary of the phenomenally successful Annual Charity Event at The Marketplace Theatre. As with last year, the proceeds go to Chest Heart & Stroke and The Disabled Riding School. Last year there were queues all the way down the street at 9PM!!!!!!

      This year there are a couple of differences,

      To celebrate the 10th Anniversary, this year sees for the first time TWO FLOORS OF MUSIC, with Live Music from CUBAN HEELS in the Stage Bar and a Disco in the Studio Theatre with DJ CHILL. This increases the total capacity to over 500 but tickets were sold out last year so get yourselves ready to snap them up this year. Also new, with every advance ticket purchase is a FREE CD, compiled by DJ CHILL. It will give you all a flavour of what to expect on the night!
