- The Newry Rainbow Community was established in 2004 as a social, befriending and informational organisation for the benefit of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans community in Newry and the surrounding counties of Armagh, Down and Louth with the aim of improving their quality of life and their confidence within the broader society .
The NRC meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 7.30pm in Ballybot House, Cornmarket, Newry. All are very welcome to attend.
We organise regular social events including monthly talk, trips and leisure activities.
Our gaynewry.com website provides an interactive forum for information, discussion and feedback.

Hi all have u been down to us yet (looking 4 feedback)
Hi - To Rory, NRC, and everyone at Passion. I would like to clarify a few points about Saturday night and the selection of Mr Gay Newry. Firstly as we were part of Dereks group I would like it known that we in no way encouraged him to enter the competition and secondly that we were unaware if he was gay, straight or bisexual. We have always been proud supporters of the NRC and especially the passion night and look forward to the next one at the end of the month. GERARD.
