- HOW IT WORKS - Bands must make either a video or audio recording of their band preforming one song. Audio entries must include a photo. The entries can be emailed, posted, or uploaded to youtube, where they will later be reuploaded on our account. Round one ratings will be permitted for one week only. A panel of judges will eliminate seven bands, and the lowest three rated bands will also be eliminated. Six rounds will take place and winners will earn themselves a position in one of the semi finals to be held all around the country. Each semi final will produce only one winner, who will then go on to the grand final in Dublin next year. The final will be a massive national event, so if you think you have what it takes and want to win a free ticket into the music industry, email irishbattleonline@gmail.com to get an entry form. SEMI FINALS - will be held all across the nation, so no matter where you are, there is sure to be a semi final taking place near you. Even though only one winner will be going through, there is also equipment, vouchers, cash prizes and massive fun to be had for qualifying bands at the semi's!!!!! --- Entries from the UK are accepted, as long as the band can come to Ireland for the semi finals should they qualify. All bands entering must not be signed to a major label.

- Irelands first ever online battle of the bands is now recruiting contestants for 2008/2009. ‘Battle in Eire’ allows the Irish public to have their say each week online. Contestants upload videos to youtube and battle it out for six rounds. Remaining contestants will earn a coveted spot in the semi finals which will be taking place in venues all across the country. A select panel of judges will select one band from each semi final, and the Irish Public will select one other lucky band online. The finalists will be fighting in a massive grand finale which will also be aired live across the word wide web. We are looking to find undiscovered Irish talent, in the biggest battle of the bands the nation has ever seen.
