Hope is a rights-based charity founded in 1999 with the aim of bringing help and hope to the thousands of street children of Kolkata (formly Calcutta). The Foundation works primarily with these children and their families and difficulties that they encounter.

The estimated population of street children in Kolkata is approximately 200,000. HOPE also supports a home for children in Nepal and a HIV/Aids vocational training community-based project in Zimbabwee.

Together with their partner groups, Hope currently funds over 50 projects for street children and their families in the areas of: nutrition, education, healthcare, residential homes for street children, child protection and counselling, community development, water and sanitation, drug rehabilitation, micro credit, vocational training.

Hope also works with to actively highlight and tackle the issues of child labour, child trafficking and HIV/Aids and, in times of emergency in India, Hope provides humanitarain relief to those affected.

The Hope Foundation and their local NGO partners' main objective is to continue to remove thousands of children from the streets and improve their quality of life. With your help they can: Make a real difference to childrens lives and offer them a chance of a better future!
