In light of recent speculation regarding the use of the Central Retail Park for the monthly Cruise Event, FC Team feel it is now right to publish the following. Some time ago we received the following communication. It is presented here in full for your perusal, (including the spelling and grammatical errors  ).

Central Retail Park, Falkirk
We have been advised by Central Scotland Police that you are a key contact for the members of the Falkirk Cruise. Workman are the Managing Agents, who act on behalf of the owners of the Park.
We felt it prudent inform you and your fellow cruisers that Central Retail Park will be installing new traffic management measures in the Retail Park in the lead up to Christmas.
The new traffic control measures have been under consideration for some time but will now be put in place, following a recent vehicle accident within the Retail Park, to improve the management of traffic flow and to reduce the risk of further road traffic related accidents. the implementation of risk reduction measures are a legal obligation imposed on the owners of the Retail Park, as a result of our duty of care to the users of the Park, to ensure that the safest environment possible is provided. The insurers for the Park also place a requirement on the owners to avert risks, and such measures will go some way to addressing the current concerns we have.
The new traffic management measures will result in areas of the Park being closed down as the evening progresses, resulting in a full closure of the Park at the end of the day's trade. As a result of our need to service the tenants, and the customers whom they depend on for trade, and in addition to our obligations as already highlighted, any attempt by the Cruise to meet within or use the Park for any informal events cannot be tolerated. The measures mentioned have been instructed and will be introduced immediately.
We are sure that you and your fellow Cruisers will understand that saftey for our customers and staff is our top priority.
Yours faithfully,
Workman."""""
We are sure you will have your own individual thoughts on this. We, the FC Team are responsible for this site and not the cruise itself; it was there before us and will continue after us. Since the invention of the car, likeminded individuals have met to compare cars and talk shop. This is a point the "Workman" group seem somewhat confused upon.
Where we go from here is entirely up to you. The FC Team will be responding to this letter to gain clarity on a few points, given the fact that we don't "organise" the cruise, the Police support for a centralised cruise, the fact that many attendees of the cruise (self included) are both families and users of the retail park.
The discussion thread on the website and will be left open for you guys to reach some concensus on your own thoughts.
or you can post your thoughts etc here on the blog

********* THIS AFFECTS EVERY REGISTERED USER, SO PLEASE READ VERY CAREFULLY *********
Folks,
The site / forum as you know it will change very shortly, as this one, Version V, will soon be replaced by Version VI. We are in the final stages of testing at the moment, and as soon as we are finished we will go live. We currently anticipate we are between 7 - 10 days from the launch time.
This is a FULL site revamp, and will be a full re-launch of the WHOLE site (yes, all the bits you remember!). From the ground up folks; all new, and is the most advanced cruise website out there. It's quite an intricate piece of kit, and we hope you'll like it.
Moving to the new platform does however create an issue for EVERY registered user of the site, so hence the very prior warning for what you need to do before you first try to log in.
THE PROBLEM:-
The encryption systems in the Forum section of Version VI, and that of the rest of the site differ slightly. The Forum is now integrated FULLY into the site, meaning you can Log In from anywhere. However, because of this slight difference in the systems, the first time you try to log in it won't let you. Your username WILL still be valid in 99.9% of cases, however your password will not be recognised...
THE SOLUTION:-
This is the important bit folks, so please read this carefully.
1. Firstly, over the next few days, in the CURRENT forum, there is one thing you must do. PLEASE ENSURE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS IN YOUR PROFILE IS VALID, as you will need it for the new site and the next stage. You can do this by going to the User Control Panel, at the top of the page. It is imperative that you have a valid, current email address prior to Version V going down.
2. When you first see the new site, go to the log in box (half way down on the LHS of the Front Page). DO NOT try to log in. Instead, click on the "I've forgot my password". This will initiate an email to you, with an a key to confirm the address and the account. Paste this key into the space provided on the site.
3. The site will then prompt you to change/refresh your password. Just follow the on screen prompts.
4. You should now be able to log in as normal, anywhere on the site.
For a very limited (approx 20-30 of the 4,300 odds) number of people, I'm afraid you'll have to re-register, as your old username will simply be incompatable. We'll post the list of those people as soon as we have it.
In the meantime, please follow step 1 now.
See you on the other side!

what a suprise?
what an arrangement?
what a night!!!!!!!
The guys at edinburgh cruise have been working hard with both local police and the park managers to get this cruise back underway, and after 18 months of hard graft they brung it all back to reality!
july the 4th was the date set with two major mags coming along to see what a historic night this would be, you may be wondering why historic is the chosen word but if you were there you will know why!
a convoy from falkirk left at 7:30 to make it there for 8 only to find the car park allready half full within the hour the b+q car park was the next port of call to park up! Atmosphere was amazing aswell as the cars on show!
hats must go off to the e.c team for the persistant hard work to get the cruise scene back up and running and heres hoping it wont be as long a wait for the next one,
as the second out of three major cruises in central scotland all in the july month proved yet again that the cruising scene in scotland is far from Dead!
