About Me

Me, Myself, and I
FRANKIE BOYLE
Boyle started out on The Stand Up Show in 1995, and spent most of the time between this and 2002 performing at various festivals around the country.

In 2002 he appeared on The Live Floor Show and much of this material was used to write jokes for Jimmy Carr on Distraction, which started out in 2003.

Boyle is known for his dark sense of humour which plays on negative views of society, celebrities and politicians. The BBC panel show Mock The Week has proved a good vehicle for this as the panel are required to comment humorously on various news stories from the British media. For example, on one episode he talked about watching the Saddam Hussein death video and wondered if there was anything on the internet he wouldn't masturbate to. Mostly recently he made a joke at Heath Ledger's expense; when the question for the round was "Unlikely things to hear in a Superhero movie" he replied "What's that Joker, you'll be back? Somehow I don't think you will be

  • Frankie Boyle quotes

"Scientists have just built the world's biggest supercollider, and they're doing experiments to see what makes up protons. I hope that if the experiment's successful, the whole of our reality will dissolve, and a big sign will up come that says: Level Two."

"I always wondered about that woman who had that face transplant. If you went to bed with her, would that technically count as a threesome?"

"What was wrong with train toilet doors that just locked, instead of this multiple choice system? If anything goes wrong, you'll be sitting there while the whole toilet wall slowly slides away, unveiling you like a prize on a quiz show. For 500 points, a shitting woman!"
