Tutto su di me: I'm an mc from Christchurch New Zealand, started rhyming when I was 12 after hearing RUNDMC, I copped the tape and wore it out... started dubbing every tape I could find and wrote myself to sleep every night. Started a crew called Nilstate out of Hagley High when I was 17, we kicked off our first gig with Upper Hutt Posse, my career could have ended there, I woulda been happy! Did heaps of shows in the golden age of CHCH Hip Hop, 95/96, then I bounced to aucks and joined Dark Tower. Did heaps of shows, released "Baggy Trousers" which blew up and introduced me to the game in NZ. Met DLT and began working at MAI FM, released "Lick-a-Lounge" and recorded my demo 'Comin 2 America'. In '03 I bounced to New York, started working for Roc-a-Fella Records, dropped "Ilegal Alien" mixed by Kris Stylez (The Game's DJ), then signed up to SellaBand.com and became the first ever Hip Hop artist to raise 50K from fans to finally record my debut solo album Close To Home! WHAT'S REALLY GOOD!!!

On Tour & New Dates

Kia Ora!

First leg of the King Kapisi Tour with Tha Feelstyle and Scalper was ill.. played shows right across new zealand, only places we didn’t get to were down the very south of the south island.. but we’re on our way! We’re headed to CHCH, DUN, QTWN & WAN early September. If you caught one of the shows, CHCHur for coming out and checking us out! Here’s the new dates…

At the Khuja and Dux de Lux shows we unveiled The Babysitters Club, a new band consisting of Jason Kerrison, Tim Skedden and myself. We’ve been in Tha Lab (aka skiving off to the in-house studio at house parties) and putting down some real fresh tunes… so prepare yo’ self to be Babysat in the coming months!

In other news…

LOTALUV made it to the top 20 of the Silver Scrolls this year.. DOPE!

And WHAKAKOTAHI RANGATAHI has been nominated for the APRA Maioha Award for Maori Song Writing at this years Silver Scrolls! I recorded the song earlier this year with KILOTONE, it translates to YOUTH UNITE… You can check it out here…

NZ Tour with King Kapisi

WHAT UP!!

Just got back to NZ… deep in the production of this NEARFIELD album.
I’m gonna be on tour with King Kapisi throughout July. This is gonna be a wicked show!! Heaps of gigs all over New Zealand so hope to see you somewhere along the line… if your not in NZ, get a ticket over now!!
