If you'd like to become a moderator for MAU (Manga Artists Unite), please, don't hesitate to say so! As it says on the profile info, we're desperate! Anyone can be a moderator, it doesn't matter if you don't submit art, or if you don't draw. Like I said, anyone!

If you don't know exactly what a moderator does, we'll tell you:

~They visit the MAU page as often as they can to check for comments
~They reply to any comments
~They create albums for people submitting art, and upload some of their work into said albums
~They advertise the group to other related groups
~They make polls on the month's competitions
~They alert art submitters when their art has been uploaded
~They have the right to submit to the blog
~They have the right to create competitions
~They have the right to edit the profile information (Including submitting deviantART links)
~They have the right to do anything an ordinary member does

It's always useful to talk about things that are important to agree about (?!) among the other moderators, so please, if you're volunteering, don't have any reckless solo decisions in mind!
But anyone assisting us, we're very grateful for!

MAU

In the start of every month we will create a poll with members drawings and artworks. The Winners artwork/drawing will be placed as the display picture for the duration of that month. This will give artists a chance to show how good they can draw. To submit an artwork you must be a member of the group! You must also add one of the moderator, so we can update the group and the albums more frequently.

Please do not steal other people's artwork-- it's not fair, dammit! And if you're using photoshop, do not use it for art fraud. Use it for colouring or pixel editing, or whatever, but we have ways of telling who's doing art fraud!

People who have submitted a lot of art, people who clearly put a lot of effort into it, or people who submit often are most likely to get a slot in the poll.

If you have any problems, with the group or the polls, please consult one of the moderators!

There are now themed competitions! Every month, we will hold a competition which may have the theme of an event like Christmas or New Year's, a particular anime like Naruto or Bleach, or a theme like wings or rain. Anyone can enter! To submit any entries, just attach your entry to a comment on this page, and we'll upload it to your album (Or mak you an album to upload it into if you do not already have one) . We will then leave links to the submissions on a forum post, where other members are encouraged to vote for five pieces to earn a slot in the poll, where the overall winner will be decided. You can submit as many entries as you like, but take your time-- at the moment, no-one's entered!

It's all well and good for you, but I'm the one posting all of it... sigh... I need another moderator. Speaking of which, if you'd like to be a moderator, you're more than welcome, I need some help! Just say so on my profile (It's public) or through our comment at the group.

So anyway...

IF YOUR PROFILE IS PUBLIC
To submit your art. If your profile is public, it's a lot easier. You simply give us a URL to your pictures either on the moderator's profile or the groups profile. The moderator will then click on the URL, and save all of your art to her documents. From there, it will be uploaded into your own album! No worries- the moderator will not take credit for ANY of your art, and it will be deleted from her documents as soon as they are uploaded! If you happen to draw anymore art, I am more than happy for you to post a comment alerting me to this, and I will upload it as soon as possible!

IF YOUR PROFILE IS PRIVATE
Well, you have three options. You can add me, the moderator, therefore I can access your art, and post it. Then you can delete me as a friend, I don't mind. OR, you can post your art through the photo stream, and it will be uploaded from there into your own album. OR you can post it through your comments on the group profile. I know, the last two are pretty tiresome, but we really would like to get your art into the photos!

I'm sorry for any inconvenience, but I've had excess of comments posting art through picture attachment on my personal profile. If you have new art and would like to alert us through picture attachments, then please do so on the group profile! If your art isn't submitted within a month after your comment on our group profile, then you have permission to post it on personal profiles. Just trying to make this system easier for everyone, no hard feelings.
