HEBREWS 10:24-25:
'Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another.

35-36:
'So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now,so that you will continue to do God's will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.'


Christianity is not about the power of knowledge. It isn't a matter of who can outsmart who with quotations of scripture, or who can outdo who with their acts of charity. It is living life in truth, having sought after it, found it and kept it close to your heart. God made us and God made our world. There was a time when the world was perfect. There was no war, no hatred...there was no such thing as pain. But, because of sin, this isn't the world that we are so familiar with today. True there are times when we feel on top of the world, but true also that there are times when things come along and push us off.
Even the chirpiest of people have problems...relationship problems, family problems, school problems...things that eat away at everyone from time to time. Satan uses these things to his personal beneift. With these things Satan makes us feel exhausted and worthless...too unworthy to be before God, and sometimes too angry and ashamed to even want to be before Him...
(HEBREWS 10:24-25.) It is in times such as these that we know we can't do it alone. It is when we are at our worst that we seek the advice of a friend, but it is also when we are at our worst that we are too embarrassed to mention it.
Right now you could be living on cloud 9...everything in your life is splendid...but what about those you love around you? Some-one once told me that friendship is a beautiful thing, but that a close Christian friendship cannot be beaten. Christianity is not a competition, but neither should it simply be something we use when everything is looking to be on the up. Think back to 'Footprints...' it is in your hour of need that God carries you until such a time that you are well enough to walk on your own. Keep in mind those times when God has carried you, and keep in mind that EVERYONE needs to be carried once in a while...be they minister, youth pastor or youth. A prayer, a hug or even a smile can mean the world to someone when they are feeling low. The little things always count...the things you do without even realising that you have encouraged that person ten fold for that week.
Fellowship is something which can very much be taken for granted. YF, going to church or a praise group practice simply become part of a routine and God is taken out of the centre of it all...it only takes a short while for us to become so distant from Him that we lie awake at night straining ourselves to pinpoint where it all went so wrong...
(HEBREWS 10:35-36) When we bring Jesus into our hearts, we give our lives up to His control. It isn't about our own selfish wants and needs anymore, but about what God has planned to use us for since before we were born. God is the meaning of life...He made the ultimate sacrifice so that we may have eternal life! His word warns us that our lives are not going to be easy, but His word also tells us that He will never turn away from us...that there is a reason behind everything. There are people is this world who live to hate, but Jesus lives to love. He suffered something indescriable for us, and yet everyday we do things that are not particularly pleasing to Him...things that might hurt Him a little more. Therein lies the beauty of the cross! You can never do anything that will cause God to stop caring...to stop loving you. He holds you even tighter as he sees you turning away from Him. God's gift is the greatest that we will ever receive...'His love endures FOREVER.' We can live in the knowldege that he is 100% faithful, 100% of the time! He gives us everything and anything! He al
