- The Huskies are a 4 piece band made up of Derek on Vocals/Guitar. Craig on Synth/Keyboard & Andy on Drums. & Bob or Bass, Currently playing in pubs and clubs across Ayrshire playing the hits of Razorlight ,The Kaiser Chiefs, Oasis, Pink Floyd, The Killers, The Undertones & more. We are writing our own material just now. Look out for our 1st album Critical Status due out soon

NOBLE WORDS GIVE THESE HUSKIE LADS A VOICE
Praise from pop princess Kylie Minogue’s choreographer spurred two Ochiltree musicians to form a band.
Celebrity judge Tim Noble hailed performances at ‘Ochiltree Got Talent’, the Gala day event in June.
A then two piece band made up of childhood friends, Derek Forsyth, 27, on guitar, and Craig Miller, 28 on Synth came second in the groups category.
Tim told them he was surprised they had only begun playing together, saying they ‘sounded like the had played together for years’.
However the two band members still felt they were missing something.
But when the band were joined in October by drummer Andy Malone, 20, the group just gelled.
And their band, ‘The Huskies’, was born.

The Huskies are a 3 piece band from a small East Ayrshire village, members Derek and Craig are childhood friends, they have both had experience of playing in other bands but never together until now while new drummer recruit Andy has just been introduced to the music scene however he does have 4 years experience in drumming. Derek has an indie Rock influence where Craig has Trance, Old skool, Influences, Which should produce interesting results!.

still on the look out for local talent
the carnival is 27th and 28th June
we operate 1 to 5pm each day.
We are voluntary and dont charge any entry so cost must be reasonable or minimal.
But always happy to try to promote local talent.
