I am a Youth Worker specialising in Sexual Health offering support, information and help accessing sexual health and contraception services to Young People aged between 13-25 in Oxford.
I work on the streets of Oxford City Centre, in the community, and in Youth centres or projects, and can offer help with Chlamydia Screening, Pregnancy Testing, Access to Condoms and Information on STIs and sexual health. I also work one to one with young people offering support over issues with Sexual Health and Pregnancy.
If you would like me to visit your Youth centre or project please ask your Youth worker to contact me. I can be contacted via this site if you would like to ask me anything. For your safety and peace of mind, if you would like some one to one support and want to meet up, it might be better to get a parent, key worker, school nurse or other adult that you trust to contact me first.

    • Talking to a new partner about using condoms is easy....

      1. It's important to me to use one, so i would have to discuss it with them
      2. It is important, but i don't know an easy way to bring it up so hope that they do.
      3. It's far too embarrassing to talk about, I just go with the flow.
      4. Not really bothered about using them anyway so I don't worry about discussing it.

    • Baby Boy

      My Baby boy, Seth Douglas Kingsland Humphries was born on 31st Jan at 12:06pm weighing 7lb 14oz. It was quite a difficult delivery but we are all doing fine.

    • Maternity Leave

      I am going to be on Maternity Leave from 5th Jan.

      If you have any issues with your sexual health or require any help in this area you can contact CASH at Raglan House in Cowley, The Harrison Clinic (GUM) at the Churchill, or any of the other services mentioned in my previos blogs (see below).

      Alternatively, visit Spired.com where there is loads of infomation not only about Sexual health, but all kinds of other issues relevant to young people, or in Oxford City you can contact The City Detached Youth Work Team (see my friends list) via Bebo, on 01865 815054, or by keeping an eye out for them on the streets of Oxford. They are great at listening and helping with all kinds of problems and issues.

    • Where I'll Be

      Wanna talk about your Sexual Health, I'll be offering the opportunity for young people to get a screening for Chlamydia or chat and learn about Sexual Health in the following places in Oxford City between now and Christmas.

      I'll be at BBLeys Youth Centre on Monday 29th September from 7:30pm I'll also be there on Monday 27th October, Monday 24th November and Monday 15th December all from around 7:30pm.

      I'll also be at the New BBLeys 4TP group for Young Parents on Thursday afternoons from 12-2pm.

      And at Union Street centre for Young People in East Oxford on Wednesday 1st October, Wednesday 5th November, and Wednesday 3rd December between 4-5pm

      From Tuesday 7th October I'll be at the Saxon Centre in Northway every week from 7-8pm looking at Sexual Health issues with anyone who is interested.
