- Special people
- Recently I've learned some things
One is that the people who are there in the worst parts
Are keepers for life
'Friends come and go..'
The best ones don't, thats for sure =)
And i don't plan to ever lose some people in my life now
Because I'm damn lucky to have them
I hope they know who I'm talking about
Those who add themselves to the global fellowship bebo-thank you. For actually seeming like you give a damn what I'm up to! =D - Lyrics
- Fave lyrics at the moment...
'I'm still here though it hasn't been easy
I'm sure that you had your reasons
I'm scared of all this emotion-for years I've been holding it down
So I'll learn to forgive and forget
and I'll try to put all this behind us
Just know that my arms are wide open, the longer it takes the more that I know
It's time to let this go'

PMGF India Blog 8-Business placement and home!
Hello!
Sadly this may be my last blog as I am writing this from my home computer in sunny Budleigh Salterton in Devon!
The business placement taught me so much, there is no way I would have chosen or volunteered to work for Tata consultancy services as I am so non-business orientated but Tata was phenomenal and I loved every minute. The ethical policies and environmental policies were brilliant and made working with them very easy in terms of morals! We saw 50% of the TCS buildings, from very north bombay to Colaba where we were staying in the south, and the whole programme which was organised for us was a perfect mix of interactive and lecture based learning. We met some very inspirational workers and I'd like to thank EVERYONE at TCS for putting up with us for 2 weeks, but especially Anthony who was incredible both in business and emotional terms-there were only 2 or 3 days where we were all in TCS due to illness and he ensured we were all great so a HUGE thanks to him.
The last night in Delhi was one of the best nights of the trip, seeing everyone was great and we all had very different stories to tell each other which was good and I didn't hear anyone who hadn't loved their time! The Kolkata crew got everyone dancing which was fun-I'd missed being on stage!! It also felt very strange, being in the same place that we started but personally feeling so different. I've learned so much on this trip there is no way I would be the same I guess and in a good way I can't go back to some of the traits I had before coming.
Being home is so so lovely in some ways-seeing my family and best friends was just amazing, I'd missed my mum, dad bro and sis so much and seeing them just...despite feeling ill and exhausted as it was 3am I was so hyper and happy to see them and give them huge hugs!! England feels very grey and cold and quiet, and scarily in my town NOTHING has changed. Nothing at all. Its comforting but I can see how easy it will be for me to slip back into old routines, but I know I won't.
The trip has been just amazing, and trying to portray it on a blog is hard. Thank you to everyone who made this happen and to all the fellows keep in touch!!

PMGF India Blog 7: Leaving the family but welcoming Bombay
Heya
On saturday I said goodbye to my lovely host family. I've had such a good time with them I'm really going to miss them! Bengali food is amazing, especially the fish. Went to Mocambos and had sizzlers which was very unsual-a spitting, sizzling plate?! The food was really good-I don't know how I'm going to cope without home cooking! We did loads, went to Park Street which was brilliant. I also got my nose pierced and feel very much culturally emerged! The time at the school was good, my research project went very well and gave me very interesting results. Independance Day was strange...watching a play about British rule with an inevitable ending but everyone was so welcoming and friendly for the whole 2 weeks it didnt bother me too much...
Results day was strange not being at home. I got ABB so missed my conditional offer by a grade but phoned the University and sorted everything out. I wanted to defer and they organised all that for me which I was so grateful for-being in India made it pretty hard to sort out! My parents and school were great too so thank you so much! The evening was amazing-had indian make up done, put my sari on =D and a bindi and went for a meal with all the headteachers and host familes of the kolkata 10 which was lovely.
There are no CD drives on this computer but I PROMISE i am taking thousands of photos and videos to upload-they're all sitting in front of me on CD!!
Mumbai is amazing too but haven't really experienced it too much yet-the market almost opposite the hotel is really good though!! And its amazing sharing with Clare again-i missed her so much!
I'll write soon-can't believe i'm home in less than 2 weeks!

PMGF India Blog 6-Amazing family and school placement!
Hey all!
Am in my lovely LOVELY host familys house at the moment. Sourabhi (my partner) is so like me shutting me up is quite a challenge for her
Sourabhi's mum and sister are so SO lovely but being part of a welcoming friendly family is making me miss my own, particularly sonu who is making me miss rosie LOADS.
anyway ive done loads here, (am writing fast so excuse bad grammar/spelling) went to 'fab india' which is amazing. Sourabhi's mum also have me the most beautiful sari blouse- i feel so welcomed its awesome. the food aswell-wow! bengalis are famous for fish and as i am now a pescatarian basicallly (fish easting vegetarian) i am in 7th heaven. the family is making sure i have a huge variety of food which i am so grateful for. im going to upload pics/videos when i can
the school is good, very similar to england surprisingly. though much stricter and disciplined. am going to futurehope which sounds amazing (its an non-government school who educate street children so i cannot wait to go there considering the charity fund raising i love to do back home) i have also basically decided to take a gapyear, this experience has opened my eyes completely and can tell that im going to have learnt so so much by the time im home.
sourabhi is being difficult and wont write anything but we are having so much fun and its such a good experience staying with her
must dash-food time!

Hi Caitlin,
This is Lidia. Yeah, I'm the freak who's obsessed with going on your sister's profile.
How's India?
Very jealous of the tan youre going to get.
Love.
(This is Lidia, not Rosie. Oh wait, I already said that...)
Don't worry, I'm looking after Dosie for you.
Well actually, it's more likely that she's looking after me.
But you know what I mean.

Caitlin!
It's so great to hear from you. I'm glad you're having an awesome time. It sounds incredible and someone is a bit jealous : )
So, keep us updated. I love getting comments from people besides Lidia. Nothing much is happening here. I'm trying to get good at tennis and I'm having my haircut on Thursday. I'm thinking side-fringe..what do you think?!
It's so weird. You're in India and most probably asleep, And I'm sat here in England watching friends (I bet you're really missing that, and I'm not even joking..) and asking you what you think about my haircut. This is so wierd!!
Oh here is some love. Because I love you, lots. And I'm missing you. Lots.
Ok, well have an amazing time and take care. Especially being careful on the roads! I know you're having a fantastic time, and so keep us all updated, we love hearing from you.
Ok, take care, Love You!
