Have you ever had one of those miserable days where everything gets you down . The alarm goes off , you go 2 work and your sort of just moping around you feel like part of the system, its the same thing everyday,well there the times that i close my eyes and think of one night in May.Most days im stuck on building sites with bricks and rubble everywhere,but da sound of the cement mixer always fades 2 da noise of taxin square.Den all of a sudden a smile appears nd da emptiness feels full,its a winters day in Liverpool but im in Istanbul.I see da flags nd da banners,i hear da buzz and da sound,the boos , da buses , da taxis,that pilgrimage up to da ground.It was like somethin from the bible, an amazin red crusade as thousands of scousers came over the hills 2 da place where dreams are made.But those dreams became illusions nd glory seemed far away . 3 goals down game over accordin 2 andy gray.But thats when it happend that incredible song it seemed to engulf the whole ground,i swear i have heard walk on sang a million times but dat nite was much more profound.It was beautiful it was sacred ill remember it till da day i die,because it wasnt jus us that sang dat nite it was da spirits of kopites gone by.From that moment on it was ecstacy, football played from da soul.I was bouncin all over some fat fella when xabi got dat third goal.and wen shevchenko missed the pen that was it we both hit the deck,i dunno wat we got up 2,but i had a love bite on me neck.And do ya know wat i was made up for all da young Liverppol fans i grabbed one and held him tight i said now u know how it feels lad at last uz all know wat its like.Honest my head was spinnin my emotions wer all over da place,I was smilin when stevie lifted da cup,the tears streaming down my face.I was thinkin of my dad,I could hear his voice it seemed 2 rise up through da cheers and i thought of that day at hillsborough nd i knew dat they were somewher near.
