I’m not going to take the piss out of the company’s sexual harassment policy.
Yes, I know we have one. I studied it carefully before a recent job interview, just in case the panel threw me a curly one about it (erm … and by that I mean tricky question).

But what I will say about sexual harassment is that it does have its advantages. Being felt up by the advertising manager might not be your idea of a good day at the office, but what if that advertising manager is HOT? What if you secretly love it when your boss calls you sweet cheeks? And what if you have a penchant for secretaries sending you dirty emails? Bet you don’t complain to human resources about it then.

On the other hand if you’re not much into the workmate with green teeth, sweat stains and a fixation for your breasts who is constantly drooling all over your desk, then you can always take action. And such harassment can justify a very handsome compensation payout.

You could claim post-traumatic stress disorder, permanent psychological scarring, sleeplessness, loss of appetite (thinking of those teeth is enough to put you off your muesli for days) and the resulting weight loss which causes your wardrobe to malfunction - your pants start to fall down and this in itself causes more problems. Your crack is constantly exposed, subjecting you to taunts from strangers in the street and small children who insist on putting coins down there. Don’t underestimate the monetary value of compensation for such a harrowing experience.

Victims of sexual harassment are often told to keep a diary of incidents, so that their allegations can be more easily corroborated. Just think about the value of that little piece of literature. People have made millions by writing about their workplace experiences. It could be developed into a novella, a feature article or a full-length motion picture with big hair and a happy ending (Okay, so I watched the 75th re-run of Working Girl the other night … but do you blame me when Melanie Griffith was looking so good in shoulder pads and purple eyeshadow?).

So just think about it.
You could get more out of sexual harassment than just a sleazy look or a grope in the kitchen.

So here's the deal - I really want you guys to see what's going on my world, but the techno geeks here at GF HQ are having some hassles.
