If I could describe this band in one word it would be “alternative indie” however I cant because there is so much more to this band. Bowlegged connot be defined, from the bands name to the music.
It’s a difficult genre to persue but Bowlegged have really pulled it off. The music is the atmosphere of a psychotic person who desperatly is trying to cover it up. Now, that seems like a bad description of a band but listen to this bands music and you’ll understand exactly what I mean.

They’re a five piece band with Fleur Moriarty on voclas and keyboards,keith browett on guitar, aoife on guitar, Fionn D on drums and Dan O’D on bass.
The band have four recorded songs the first of which is “Resolution”, a beautiful, harmonic song with a kind of haunting atmosphere(seeing as the word haunting is actually used in the lyrics aswell). There’s a sort of sadness that goes with this song but at the same time is happy, almost as if the song is schizophrenic.
The next song on the list is “Drop the Gun” which is possibly the most alternative yet catchy thing Ive ever heard.
Next is “Red Lights”, which has an eery guitar sound played with a butter knife.Strange way to get the sound but it works so well ,also the guitars go into a semi-acoustic piece where both guitars seems to intertwine yet they almost seem that they want nothing to do with each other.The song then gets faster and more insane sounding with vocals almost representing a latino woman.
Last but no least is “This Worldly Room”, an excellent example of how talented this band really are.

My descriptions of Bowlegged’s songs can only go so far, you really need to listen to this bands music to understand it for yourself. I havent seen the band live(yet) myself but from other peoples descriptions it sounds like they really put on such a show.
I’d recommend Bowlegged to anyone from Jazz, indie, funk or Rock roll fans or just anyone who is bored with bands that sound too normal,this is definatly the band for you.
