Clubbing.ie - Quick Update
So the clubbing.ie team met on thurs 5th March in Dublin (thanks for club twentyone, www.21.ie) for putting us up after our meeting.
Big plans for the website will be unvieled on the website in the coming weeks. After the site is finished we are planning a big clubbing.ie launch weekender which will consist of a Fri/Sat night in Galway and Dublin!!!!

INIA NEEDS YOU!!!
The Government are trying to pass the Intoxicating Liquor Bill 2008, before July 3rd. This Bill if passed will close every Late Night Venue [ Nightclubs, Late Bars and Theatres ] at 2.30am 6 nights a week and at 1am on Sundays. Nightclubs, particularly in Dublin have benefited from Theatre Licenses for the past year, allowing them to operate until 3.30am 7 nights a week. This we see as a huge step backwards, not just in terms of people's choice, but the Government will have missed the opportunity to introduce meaningful Sequential Closing, and the Introduction of a Nightclub Permit, to regulate the industry and control the number and type of venue operating late at night.
