Nae cheating

We shook on this and everything.

If Toronto make the playoffs, I will grow a playoff beard and keep it for the 8 days the Leafs are likely to remain in the playoffs.
If they do actually make the playoffs, Henny's gonna wear a Hearts strip for a whole day.

We shook on it and everything. People saw. People probably thought "yep, that's never gonna happen..." or "ha, Toronto... does this guy know nothing about hockey?"

I think it's safe to say I'm gonna be beard-free this April. Toronto's 10 points behind with like 30 games to go. Yep, another year of missing the playoffs... oh, to have faith in my team...

Yep. Should I make the same Death Cab reference I made the last two years? It's true though, I still don't feel any different. New Year's is lame. Christmas is so much better. New Year's is just an excuse to get bitter, moany, get grumpy about it being over-rated and how it's boring and nothing is open and how it's just one day, and to post blogs on bebo and myspace about the year you just got through. I'm still not bitter though, and I doubt I moaned as much as last year, just kinda ranted about drinking and how people act when they drink and just use it as an excuse to do stupid stuff and think it's acceptable and forgiveable because they were drunk. Zak, you got all the moans on New Year's Eve, feel proud...
Moving on...

I actually had a good night on Wednesday though. It was fun to see all those peoples again, kinda been busy since the end of summer, really, so it was cool, s'all good.

2008 = good times!
I really enjoyed it. I know some people thought it wasn't that great but I really had fun. I'll tell you why:
- I met a lot more people this year too. A lot of cool people that I'm happy to have around, it's been fun. Some of the times, meeting these people was the one good thing of some nights. Also, all of the people I have around from before. I did have fun with everyone, yep, s'cool.
- My birthday. My birthday was an awesome time. Some people made cards, quite nice, sent texts, actually remembered, etc. Hung out at night with peoples, played hide and seek and manhunt at like half 10 at night. It was good times. Danny's face ran into a wall. There's a photo somewhere. That ended the game of manhunt. It was a good night =)
- The park was probably one of my favourite places in 2008. Good times all the time there. Playing basketball and football with Ewan's phone, the time there was a big game of football with random people ("Foo Fighters guy," "Hibs guy", etc, ha, good times...), all the times I just hung out in there for a few hours, the festival (oh yes!), the summer (oh yes!!), the last time I was there, it was all awesome. The park festival was probably one of my favourite times, the Friday was awesome. We played, it was sunny, there was loads of people, it went on all night, played hide and seek, never stood still for too long, the conversation with drunk Austin and drunk Andi outside the beer tent, the 'fights', and to finish it off, playing chap door run with Andi, who couldn't run cos of the shoes he had on. Yep, the park was one of my favourite places in 2008 - great times there!
- So, I played in a few bands this year. Well, I only count a band as a band if it plays a gig. So, that's really only two. Anatomy Series never really took off again after the new year, think there was only one practice in 2008 and then it stopped, I think we were all busy and/or had other projects. I played in Reason To Be for the first part of the year, and while it was fun to begin with, I think the novelty maybe kinda wore off and it got a little stale and frosty and it wasn't really working. So, we left that. I mucked around with a metal band for a little bit. Metal's not really my bag so my heart wasn't really truly in it, I was probably only doing it for the fun of it and the practice and for something to do. February Stars is where I'm at now. It's the music I want to be playing, in the style that suits my taste most, and I'm able to write and play the stuff that I'm happy with. I like it. Played a few gigs with RTB, was on STV for a little. February Stars played more gigs, and aside from the band knockout (we sucked, really), it was all good. The festival was good, the gig in Methil was a really fun time, playing to no one who had any clue who we were, the halloween gig was a lot of fun and Candlerooms was good too. More to come...
- Again, bought a lot more music this year. I have a hard time picking my favourite album of 2008 though, probably Kids In Glass Houses. Death Cab brought out a new album, Snow Pa
