The initial idea for Ceol Pr (Ceol Entertainment) came about over a year ago when one day in a radio station somewhere in the big smoke of Dublin-two people (Gerard Breen & Louise Coghlan) met on a random work related event. Not only had these two people never met before but the minute they did, music and Irish music in particular was instantly clear where their passions lay for their future hopes and possible dream venture. And now this is where myself and Ger come in and continue writing our little 'about you' section. Well, it's actually Lou here for the moment because you know how hard it is for 2 people to type on the one keyboard!! The women always win hee hee Ceol Pr is all about the music. We hope to bring IRISH musicians back into the spotlight. Our goal is a longterm- 5 year-ish kind of one where we hope to build up a family of music lovers and hopefully if we all pull on the one rope, we can change how the Irish music industry functions. I guess the comparison we make is, if I was to rewind the clock back ten years, when I was 15 yrs old, i was buying Boyzone, OTT, The Carter Twins, a little cringe worthy I know but my roundabout point here is, if you were to ask a 15 year old today to name 5 Irish artists, instantly Kayne West, Britney & Beyonce would pop out and with consideration Westlife and U2 might get a mention. But this is where the underlying problem lies, I was buying OTT, but not because it was Irish, I probably didnt even realise that, I was buying it because thats all I knew. Today's Ipod nation of 15 years old, would struggle as our own personal research has shown, that they find it very hard to name any Irish acts. And as we music lovers all know, there are soooo many amazing Irish talents out there, whether you are rock, pop, trad, folk, indie, punk, elctro...it doesnt matter your sound, we want you!!We are hoping if we can get a driving force of support from all the different music outlets ---

Rugby I love!!!Paris baby!!! 6 nations this year!! Also american football kicks ass!!I'm well impressed -can't wait for my next outting with the boys!!! Love all types of sports, spectating of course-you could find me anywhere-enjoy tennis-the WII is great fun if that can be seen as sport.
