I have no time to be a queen to materialistic America while traveling on the path of dharma.

Films

Our greatest source of inspiration, Meher Baba, he was particularly interested in the film industry. Accordingly, he spent one week in Hollywood, California meeting with a number of people connected with that industry and visiting the Paramount and Goldwyn Mayer film studios. He met a number of film stars including Boris Karloff, Cary Grant, Tallulah Bankhead, Gary Cooper and Maurice Chevalier, and gave private interviews to some. Baba explained:
"The whole universe and its structure, I have created. The universe is my cinema. But just as an audience becomes absorbed in witnessing a drama on the screen, and the film engages their emotions and sways their feelings by its influence, causing them to forget that it is not real--in the same way, the spectators of the world are charmed by this worldly film show, forgetting themselves and taking it to be real!
So I have come to tell them that this worldly cinema in which they are absorbed is not real. Stop using fear state methods...."

What is freedom

ALL over the world the spirit of man is crying for freedom. Love of freedom and the search for freedom are the principal characteristics of humanity. In all races and in all climes, in all countries and at all times, the watchword for the groping and struggling humanity has always been freedom! Cry for freedom There are very few persons however who really understand the full implications of true and unqualified freedom; and there are many who, in their partial understanding of the real conditions of freedom, strive only for the attainment of that kind of existence which gives them a sense of relative freedom. Thus, different persons long for different kinds of freedom according to the different things which they have come to value.
Freedom to live as one wishes is sought in all departments of life. This imperative demand for freedom usually expresses itself by fastening upon some external conditions of the kind of existence which people wish to lead.
