My name is Tony and I live in Tralee. I was born in England in 1965 and moved to Ireland with my family in 1972.
My interests and hobbies include: weather, science, religion, Internet and computers. I also love to meet friends for a chat over a cup(s) of coffee. So, if ya fancy a chat and a coffee, let me know.

Weather Lab - New features. Now covers all of Ireland
Hi there!
The weather lab forecasting options are operational again.
I had to suspend the forecasting for a while because the data used for producing the forecasts, was not available. This has now been rectified.
Now that forecasting has been resumed, I have made the following changes:
1) Forecasts are now produced for the all of Ireland.
2) The forecast period has been reduced to 36hours instead of 72hours
3) I am examining the possibility of updating the forecast from twice
per day to possibly 3/4 times per day.
4) For the surfers: A 36hour wave height forecast is also being
provided for coastal areas of the entire country.
5) The data from my weather station is updated at 15minute intervals

Hi folks!
I have finally got my website online: http://www.traleeweather.utvinternet.com.
It is still a work in progress, so please be patient with me.
At the moment, it provides current weather conditions, measured by my personal weather station, located in Tralee. These details are updated every 15 minutes.
It also displays an animation showing forecast details (rainfall, pressure, wind speed and direction; temperature and CAPE (Convective Available Potential Energy - which is a measure of the instability of the atmosphere in the area)); at 3hourly intervals.
The forecast is produced locally by me on my computer. This is a private voluntary project.
I would appreciate any suggestions which you might have.

Wind at present S or SE 7km/h, becoming cyclonic variable and then increasing S or SE 36km/h in the S and SE of the Kerry area by 03:00GMT on 21-09-2006. Then becoming light or variable, mainly W by 07:00. Then veering SW and increasing again to 22km/h by 15:00 on 21-09-2006.
Further heavy rain is also likely.
