- After my year in the country, I'm now back where I feel most and home (i.e. surrounded by 24 hour conveniences and multiple bars and restaurants within walking distance).
I'm so happy to be in Osaka. I do miss all my students and teachers and my awesome friends from Shima though. And, I do miss the beautiful coast line and mountains... But at least I live near Osaka castle and it's big park (^_^)b And my flat is probably in the best location of any place I've ever lived, it's awesome!
I also got myself a new bike and decided that biking through the streets of Osaka is my new favourite thing.

- The mighty Less Than Jake! Too much too list really, I like metal, punk, rock, ska, reggae, hip hop, drum'n'bass, jungle, electronica, ambient... everything from Tool to Ben Harper, Roni Size to Jimmy Eat World, Roots Manuva to Nine Inch Nails. And of course the sexual midget himself: Prince! Recently I have been mostly listening to lots of Japanese ska and punk bands as well as Rise Against, Capdown, Against Me and Catch 22. My new discovery is crazy metal/punk/wierdo Japaneseness band マキシマムザホルモン.
Oh and by the way: Science teachers and the mentally ill...that's who jazz is for. - Films

- This world and the stupidity of the people that inhabit it. Audience participation, it's horrific. Being made to walk in wet shoes. Ventriloquist dummies and people dressed in animal costumes. The childcatcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang - terrifying!
Losing contact with my friends

- Sleeping in late (why does school have to start at 8.30am?!), eating, it's the weekend, my students remember things I taught them (rare!), eating cakes and talking shit with Becca, having picnics and drinking molotov cocktails with Rachel, smoking with the boys and all my other awesome friends, people watching in Japanese cities, watching Jin Akanishi dance.
- Thing I Hate
- Having to do work, not being able to watch Neighbours, the constant threat of attack by giant mutant insects, having to use American words because people over here can't understand me, saying goodbye to amazing people, many many Japanese girls, living in the inaka, pEOpLE hoO rITe Lyk dIS coZ dE FiNk iTs KeWl - are you fucking retarded?!

- Chocolate, tofu, things I see, The Mighty Boosh, people who think I'm funny, people who don't 'shoosh' me, mochi, spending time with my awesome friends, Bill Hicks, travelling, shiny plastic bits of tat, David Attenborough, tattoos, monkeys, hot sake on a cold day, random drunken Japanese banter, sakura, Jin Akanishi's dance moves, playing the taiko game at the arcade.

Easter Eggs
Ahoy hoy and konnichiwa. Hope all of you are doing ok wherever you may be.
I'm sitting at school bored out of my nut right now. No classes and nothing to do until next week... Usually I would shoot the shit with my teachers but there are only about 3 of them around today. Yawn.
Listening to Less Than Jake and getting excited about Fuji Rock and their planned 2 weeks in Japan, woot woot!
Currently pretty skint as I went to Nagoya, Tokyo and Osaka in succession these last weeks.
I was in Osaka with my friends Pam and Ume for Punk Spring (all day punk music festival). It was great fun, especially NOFX who talked shit in English all through their set which only me and Pam could understand. New Found Glory sucked horrendously, Jimmy Eat World rocked, The Dropkick Murphys were awesome and マキシマムザホルモン were cool too. Good times.
Anyway, I just realised it's Easter soon so if any of you kind souls wanted to help me out........... PLEASE SEND ME CREME EGGS!!
(is it cream eggs or creme eggs? I can't remember anymore).

We're off on a fieldtrip with school tomorrow afternoon (have to be in Uni for some stupid class in the morning).
NExt week is my last lecture and my last couple of classes (I'm taking classes in chem and phys coz I've gotta teach them!!!) can't wait for it to be over - really can't wait. Then in school till summer. Not sure if I get a graduation or whether I just get a 'thanks for coming'
Got 5000 words due in a week and I'm making progress in my usual style!

WHen you comingback for Christmas? I was at the zoo the other week!! It's still the same BUT they have netting over my monkeys now so they can't so much see the people.
Life in Plymouth stil l the same, Uni sucks but school is ace! Who'd have thought I'd ever say that!!
