- My 20 russain wives and my dog
- Me, Myself, and I
- Schossow is a very rare individual. He shines at whatever he throws his hand to, and whether that’s performing to thousands or producing for the masses – he’s on a mission to reinvent dance music, and he’s off to a flying start!
This reinvention started with his smash 2007 track Mr White, whereby fusing futuristic techno, with filthy house and a subtle smattering of trance; his sound automatically became appealing to a whole host of DJs and music fans alike. Marcus is part of a hot, new, elite set of young DJs and producers with dance floors around the world clamoring for his infectious presence and prodigious mixing.
Progresia and Tone Diary, his own projects, are establishing the ‘Schossow Sound’ while his work with fellow producer Thomas Sagstad has seen Tiesto, Axwell and Steve Lawler snapping up tracks like Hypnotizer and Crepusculo. World-renowned Dutch outfit Spinnin have given Schossow their full backing, making him their youngest signing to date. At only 22, Schossow is a serious force to be reckoned with. Further support comes from the A list including Pete Tong, Armin Van Buuren, Steve Angelo and Sander van Doorn, underlining Marcus’ increasing influence in the world of dance.
And it’s not just his ability as a producer that screams ‘watch this person’. Schossow is in demand around the world! America, Europe, the Far East and beyond are all calling out for gaps in his diary. In the short time Marcus has been around, he’s already clocked up some of the biggest gigs in the calendar: Dance Valley, Godskitchen , Sunrise Festival, Escape Into the Park, Zurich’s Street Parade and the Colours Festival are just some!
With Tone Diary, Marcus’ acclaimed radio show; the sound of Schossow travels even further. Setting the airwaves ablaze, he reaches those not lucky enough to have caught him live yet and reminds those who have of why they’ll have to check him out again!
Yet with all this, it’s so easy to forget that Marcus Schossow is just 22 years old. A young man who is only just starting out at what looks set to be a very prosperous musical career. More beckons as 2008 propels past the half way mark and for Marcus Schossow this is only just the beginning…
The Years has passed since Marcus released his first single "Stockholm" in 2003. The huge hit supported my ALL major top jocks, was Marcus major debut in to the scene.
When Marcus was 15 years old he entered a local dj competition, completely crushing swedens no 1 dj, Marcus was hailed as THE biggest upcoming talents in Sweden. After that Marcus wanted to touch people with his own productions aswell. So he started producing his own tracks. Two years passed of learning the basics of music and in 2003 he signed with uk label 020 Records. After that bookings in Germany, Poland, Denmark and Sweden brought him out from his bedroom and made him a worldwide known Artist.
One year later the legendary Producer/Dj John "OO" Flemming recognized Marcus talents and signed his track "Metropolitan Behaviour" to his label. After that Marcus hooked up with Paul Moelands aka Re ocate/Octagen to produce their coop called "First Horizon". ATCR sublabel Surface Recordings picked it up as their first release.
The same year Marcus met dj superstar "Parham" (Fokused) at a Tiesto concert. Parham showed him the world of progressive house and helped him sign the tune "After Universe" to Vapour Recordings with a remix from Ozgur Can and Perry O' Neil.
Later that year Marcus hooked up with the Swiss called Dominik Von Werdt to produce the tune "San Andreas" "California". They Signed it to Inspired Records. Dominik got Marcus into thinking about starting an own record label. Raucocue Recordings was created.
One day in 2005, Marcus woke up with a melody in his head. "A little hazy morning" was created and signed to Markus Schulz label Coldharbour Recordings.
Through some friends, Marcus discovered the young talent Sebastian Brandt. Sebastian sent him some demos and they decided to produce a track together. The project "Under Sun" was born. Armin Van Buuren was convinced and signed it to Armada Music.
The Under Sun project is nowdays one of the worlds most growing Trance Acts with bookings worldwide and performances at the biggest FM Radio Stations in Scandinavia.
Raucocue Recordings has grown rapidly through the years that have passed and their Label Parties are one of the south of Swedens biggest events to date.
Through the years, Marcus has grown into a fully professional music producer/dj and has collaborated with Producers including: Signum, Paul Moelands, Ozgur Can, Michael Parsberg, Andrew K, Sebastian Brandt, Ludvig Holm, Dominik Von Werdt, Michael Splint, Carl B and Joni Ljungqvist.
And it has only just begun......
