    • Fireworks 2008 in the West - with Steve McKenna

      Join Steve McKenna at Paisley's annual firework display on Wednesday 5th November. Steve will be starting early by broadcasting his Drivetime show live from Seedhill Playing Fields before gates open at 6pm, with the display kicking off at 7.30pm.

      Abba tribute band Abba Fever will also be taking to the stage to provide entertainment.

      Steve recently hurt his back and won't be able to look up at the fireworks, he's hoping you'll all join him by lying down to see what is guaranteed to be an amazing display. Don't forget to wrap up warm!

    • Fireworks 2008 in the Central Belt - With Paul Harper & Mark Martin

      Real Radio is delighted to be bringing a new upcoming band to the legendary annual firework display at Strathclyde Country Park.

      Local girl band Atlanta will be introduced onstage by Real Radio mornings presenter Paul Harper and Real Overnights new boy Mark Martin.

      Entry to the event is FREE.

      Entertainment on Wednesday 5th November starts at 6pm, with the bonfire being lit at 7.30pm and the fireworks going off from 8.20pm.

      Parking is available, but attendees are being warned to get there early to make sure of a space.

      The Bernard Iliff Children’s Dream Trip Of A Lifetime Campaign is a new Scottish run charity.
      The aim of the charity is designed to take children with life threatening conditions on a dream trip of a lifetime to meet the "Real Santa Claus" in Lapland.
      The charity is solely run by volunteers and 100% of the money we raise goes directly to the charity as we believe a charity should be run to support the cause it says.
      The charity is named after a little boy of 3 years of age by the name of Bernard Iliff who lives in Sauchie, Clackmannanshire, Scotland but has spent many months of his short life in Hospital .
      The reason Bernard is in hospital is this poor child was born with Neuroblastoma Cancer which is a rare and aggressive type of cancer. Not only was Bernard born with Neuroblastoma cancer but it was also discovered this poor child was born with Cancer in his bone marrow as well.
      Bernard was given a 10% chance of surviving by the doctors at Yorkhill Sick Children’s Hospital in Glasgow where he is still undergoing chemotherapy and tests but through the grace of God the cancer in this little fellows bon marrow has disappeared but it will take many more months to see if this little fellow has won his battle.

      Scotland's best variety of music my arse. Variety means playing music that caters for everybody, where's the hip-hop, R n' B, Indie Rock, non cheesy dance music, metal etc??

      Thank God for BBC Radio 1, Scotland's (real) best variety of music. Lady (prostitute) gaga and the same Take That song 10 times each a day is hardly variety!!

      Made last stage of ubergirl comp! can't believe have made it this far. Their is now only 68 girls from 560 with eliminations every week. The past 2 weeks 100 have went each week. Now am at the final stage another 48 will go on mon! :( The remaining 20 girls will go thru to the final!........for tht to happen i need as many votes as possible by textin uber397 to 63333.
