The Lions Club is the world's largest service organisation, with 1.4 million members in more than 180 countries.
Our Club is the first club in any university in Ireland. We are involved in two main projects (Sheltered Housing and Stepping Stones). Members are also in the Galway Cycle, Tidy Towns and many fundraising activities!
Our fund-raising focus for this university year 2008-2009 is for The Cystic Fibrosis Association of Ireland.

What we've achieved
SInce we began last year...
• Painted the Stepping Stones School for Autistic Children in Kilcloon.
• Developing a vegetable plot in the Sheltered Housing estate
• Helping with sports in Stepping Stone School - coaching in football and basketball
• Weekly Visits to the Day Care Centre for Sheltered Housing
• Helped out with the Christmas party in the Day Care Centre
• Helping out with the Lions Christmas Food Appeal
• Bag Packing to raise money for ASIST - €1000
• Table Quiz to raise money for ASIST - €80
• Bake Sale to raise money for ASIST - €455
• Bake Sale to raise money for CFAI - €818
• Fun Run around Maynooth University.
