The Whigs are a trio based out of Athens, Georgia. "Give 'Em All a Big Fat Lip" was the first recorded material to be released by the trio. The band signed to indie label ATO Records, home to artists such as Radiohead, My Morning Jacket and Ben Kweller,in 2006. In 2008 they recorded their second album, "Mission Control" and went on to tour with Kings of Leon, The Kooks, We Are Scientists, and Drive-By Truckers among others.

March 16th is the official release date for the new album, IN THE DARK. Leading up to the album's release, The Whigs will tour supporting Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
