Most people do not understand the culture of metal. The black band t-shirts, the violent lyrics, the mosh-pits. They see it as a stupid immiture way of spending your time and money, they say we can't understand the singing and its "scary" but i can assure you that a metal concert is like nothing else on earth. Its not just about the music which we like, it is like a family, one big union of outsiders coming together to share one common interest... having a good fucking time and listening to good fucking music you may think that this is true with all gigs from all the genres but metal is a completely different atmosphere alltogether. Metal is possibly the most versatile of all music and has survived the onslaught of unsucessful trends(grunge, indie, nu-metal) for 35 years and is still stronger than ever this is because metal fans are die-hard and once your into metal it is unlikely you'll leave it.

Alot of people accuse metal of being unsophisticated and musically simple some closed minded idiots claim it to be "just noise" this is plain and simply wrong on every level, it is by far the most callenging music being made today with influences drawn from classical and blues it is both musically structured and free of restraints.

the sensation of a metal concert is unearthly i will challenge anybody to go to a metal concert and talk to a random person and not get a good response. the fans of metal are the best people in the world they are filled with so much joy and intelligence and will be the best people if you give them the time of day. At a gig for a metal band there is so much unionised anticipation for the act, so much adrenaline fueled insanity when the band comes on and a brotherly feeling that makes the hairs on your arms stand on end. It is a sensation that connot be described with any word. I truely feel deep sorrow for anybody not into metal, your lives are mundane and boring by comparison. Metal is always there for you when you need it in the good and bad, it does not judge you, it does not label and constrict you it only embraces you and lets you know you are part of something massive, worldwide and fucking brilliant. If your not part of the metal family you can never truely understand it.

1. Band T-shirts are black because it's a stadard colour that goes with anything therefore you have a wider variety of things to print on and suprisingly enough band logo's have different colours. Also black represents the entire philosophy of metal, it symbolises freedom, danger and ambiguety

2. Mosh Pits are fun, yes they can get violent but it's all in the spirit of loosing yourself in the moment and just going fucking bezerk because your so fucking happy to be a part of metal. and we do have rules to try and make sure no-one gets hurt too badly

MOSH RULES:
1. If someone falls down help them the fuck up people will do the same to you
2. NEVER diliberately hit someone e.g. punch them in the face... unless they stage dive feet first into the crowd
3. (technically not a rule) don't hardcore dance you look gay and you can fucking hurt someone badly

3. We can understand what they are saying in songs because we listen to the music with open minds and anyway it's our fucking music if you don't like it listen to your nursery rhyme indie music and don't shit your pants when you hear some metal which shows you what music should be.

4. Metallers do not want to kill themselves all the time. Metal was built from blues a music created for escapism that notion has transfered into metal. when metal bands sing about suicide it is to say that you are not alone and that killing yourself won't solve anything.
