Shane Howard has recently written and recorded a new song about the Waco Tornado of 1953. The song is titled "1953" and is scheduled for release in the spring of 2008 coinciding with the 55th anniversary of that tragic event. Next month we will begin shooting a music video to complete the project. Trey Concilio and John Cleveland are in charge of the production project which features the Shane Howard Band and primary source pictures and footage from the Waco Tornado.

We are seeking sponsors for this 55th anniversary project. We believe this song and video will honor those who lost their lives that spring afternoon and share an important part of Waco history with its citizens.
