- East Kilbride Repertory Theatre Club is one of the most active amateur theatre groups in Scotland with a large membership of over 50. Each year we stage seven productions.
Our season begins in September with a full length play and this is followed in October with another. December is pantomime time. The Rep panto runs for two weeks and includes two Saturday matinees. Our pantomime chorus is comprised of up to sixty local children. The scripts, written by Rep members, are very traditional. Play number three is staged in February followed by one in April and the final play of the season is in June. This leaves us just time to hold an AGM and start rehearsals once again for the next season.
We are based 9 miles to the south of Glasgow in the New Town of East Kilbride, situated in the local authority of South Lanarkshire. We perform all our productions in East Kilbride Village Theatre.

For forty years, Willie Clark and Al Lewis were ‘The Sunshine Boys’, America’s most successful comedy act. Then, eleven years ago, Al made a sudden decision to retire. They haven’t spoken to each other since. Al now enjoys a happy retirement: Willie is still trying to work, not helped by the fact that he can’t remember the lines, or where he’s supposed to audition. Willie’s niece (and agent), Nancy, has made a deal with CBS television to reunite Lewis and Clark for a special programme on the history of comedy. Pity they can’t stand each other. The play follows their attempts to rehearse and perform their most famous sketch, ‘The doctor will see you now’, without killing each other. Full of Neil Simon’s trademark humour and physical comedy, this is a funny and touching play with a (sort of) happy ending...
