Well its been a while!
So today we're in Christchurch playing this little secret show for Jim Beam and it struck me, as I sat here in my hotel room, that I have not written much on bebo for a long time. As most of you who were at big day out would have heard that BDO show was Justyn's last gig with Elemeno P for the foreseeable future as he has moved to New York City to start a fresh and we really wish him all the best. It's been an amazing 7 or so years together and it won't be the same without him but Scotty, Lani, myself and occasionally Godfrey have a few fights in us yet. I've started writing songs again which is really cool and a welcome change from my day job as founder in chief of www.closet.co.nz which is great but it's not making music. Lani has been writing songs too which is ace and has got a couple of months before she gives birth to baby #2 so I imagine if all goes well we'll use the downtown to record something and just see what comes out. Apart from that I'm still loving living downtown in Auckland City, I host a night a Pony called 'I'll make you a mix tape' so feel free to come to that but if you can't I can always make you a mix tape. Hey! My names Erica Burke; I'm a 7th former at Westlake Girls High School in Auckland, New Zealand-huge fan of Elemeno p
Anyway, Im organising a Fundraising Concert later in the year for our schools Amnesty International group( yey for human rights!)-and was wondering if the band would be interested in playing. At this stage the concert date is Friday August 14th.
It's gonna be an awesome event and the great thing about our school is that we love music and Elemeno p!
Of course, we'd be happy to fully promote the band at the Event.
If I could get the details of someone who I could discuss this with that'd be great. At this stage I'm just seeing if they would be available and interested; then I can let you know more information about the event.
