- My friends all call me skyM and since I am an acrylic artist, typing artbyskyM into any universal search box, seems to be the easiest way to find me. I spend my days eating, breathing and living art and find inspiration in all that is my life. I am fascinated and enamoured with color, using loads of it, straight out of the tube. My paintings contain a lot of fine detail, often surprising the collector with something new to discover each time they look at their pieces. Each painting I create is straight from brush to blank card as I never do preliminary sketches. This way, I can assure my collectors receive a true One-of-a-Kind painting.
I have also been bitten by the e-commerce bug and find myself endlessly on the internet absorbing, developing, and creating ways for me to get my name and my work out to the public. I am thrilled to be a part of this community and hope that it will be a rewarding and fullfilling experience for all.

BIG THANKS
To everyone who supported me in the Starving Artist Contest!
Thank You
Your words of encouragement were very much appreciated
Good luck to everyone that competed!! I admire you all
Starving Artist Contest Submission and Votes
Now that the contest has ended, I can finally exhale a wee bit. They still have to decide the winners so keep those fingers crossed. We're sure continuing to pray over here! I'd like to take a moment to thank everyone for their kind words of encouragement and the great support that I received. If anything, I feel like a winner just knowing that I have met some terrific people and gained great exposure for my artwork. I know that it has brought new found attention to the collectable trend of the size format ACEO, also known as art cards. I hope you take a moment to read about their investment qualities in my blog.
I'd like to give a special shout of thank you out to a true friend and moli member Simone at ownyourpower, as she played an instrumental part in keeping me sane during the competition! She was there with a patient listening ear for my complaints and woes, offered calm and rational ideas for when I became irratic and self doubtful and kept me in line with a virtual "slap in the face" when I needed it-yes there were times when that was necessary.
You're one of a kind Simone and I'm so happy our paths crossed! Bless you
So now I guess it's back into the studio I go as I have many projects and loose ends to tie up that have been put on the back burner while I concentrated on this venture. I've got a lot of fresh ideas for some new creations and I'm excited to get those started. Stay in touch and keep an eye on my gallery for more!
Artistically yours,

Art Cards-The Perfect Collectable
I am just getting settled here at Bebo.com, however until I do, I'd like to invite you to take a look at my profile. You will find several galleries of my hand-painted and collectible art cards) (Also known as ACEO-Art Card Editions & Originals) This is an exciting new trend in art collection. Pocket Art, a gallery of color for your pocket! Each piece I create is hand-painted in acrylic and then a protective clear top-coat is added. Your piece will last for years to come.
Show Off Your Art
Many collectors keep their art cards in photo albums, frame and display them on the wall, I have even had physicians display them in a coffee table type book so that clients can peruse them while they are waiting.
Personalized, One-of-a-Kind
Each art card is hand-painted and then packaged in a custom and creative jewel case! These jewel cases not only protect your collectible piece, they are customized so that you can display your art card right in the case!
Not Your Mama's Art
Here are just a few examples of how Art Cards can be used! I sell these art cards directly from my studio, SkyM Gallery, to various flower shops, gift boutiques, and specialty stores to use as collectible gift tags. This way, the recipient receives two gifts in one! They make great teacher gifts-I recently did a set for a PTO group to show their appreciation for the teachers in the entire school system! Last summer, I created a set for a garden club and packaged them so that they could be displayed alongside each beautiful item grown in the community garden! More recently, a big convention was in town and the event planners were looking for a unique item to include in the attendees gift baskets. I not only created art cards for the baskets, I created art cards for use as the place cards on the dining tables! Wedding Attendant Gifts, Baby Showers, Even children are delighted to receive these one of a kind, hand-painted creations! The gift ideas are endless!
So if you're loooking for a unique item to give that will be cherished for years to come, give a hand-painted art card created by skyM!0 Comments 590 days
