- At Oxfam we believe that everyone should be able to live happy and healthy lives, whoever they are, wherever they live, whatever they look like.
We do everything we can to help give poor people all over the world the basic things they need, like food and clean water, for example.
But at Oxfam we know that people need more than just food and water to be happy.
We think children should have the right to be children, so we help build schools and provide education. We think people should be able to feel safe, so we help them build homes and give them somewhere to stay when they’re in danger, and we think people should have a right to say how they feel, so we listen and help to make the powerful people hear what they’re saying. And that’s just some of the stuff we do.
