my Heart went out to all those on the panel that lost a loved one to
suicide and all others who loved one died of suicide. But i really see no
need for any of the survivor orgs like the AFSP. they really dont help
survivors get support or anything. I and others i know have even tried to
get these national survivor orgs. To start a survivor group here in
arlington, texas. After my brother committed suicide almost 2 years ago. I
emailed every known survivor org in the country. i would get comments back.
Like "when you form a group let us know" or " the numbers of suicides in
your area dont support the need to form a group". I replied back that "if i
knew any resources or connections i would not be contacting you","and even
one suicide in my area is too much". I just think these walks for suicide
prevention are just fundraising and promotion effort for these orgs, for
what i dont know.if a person contacts them they dont do anything. I and alot
of folks i know get more help from just friends online and in "real Life"
than these orgs.

This fear folks have of those who are gay and lesbian is just too hard too understand. There are many misconceptions about those who are gay and lesbian. I will list just a few to a leave the fears of other straight people. Firstly, being around gays/lesbians will not make you gay. You will not be “infected” by them. You are born with the tendency to be of that persuasion. How would one explain why one sibling is gay/lesbian and the other is straight. Secondly, they are not for the most part out there trying to molest and abuse children. I have never heard or seen a gay/lesbian out there doing this kind of activity. Hell but you will see a ton of straight, mostly white men out their hurting kids.


I am just so tired of fellow straight people bashing this segment of society. These people are my friends, family and brother and sisters in Christ. They are not hurting anybody, you love who you love. Ok, you may think its a sin or not morally correct. So is murder and judging others, But you do not hear the far right in America talking about those sins now do you,NO. It really breaks my heart to see family and friends disown and attack those that come out and say they are gay and lesbian. I mean their your family and friends, what the fuck. Its not like they are axe murders or anything. They just like somebody of the same sex. Who you love do not make you bad. Its your character and how you conduct yourself etc.
