- Last July, Mind the Gap Films, sent ten adults, nominated by family and friends, to spend a week at one of Ireland’s strictest Irish college’s, Coláiste na bhFiann, Ros Muc, in the heart of the Conemara Gaeltacht.
Living exactly as the other students attending the Coláiste at the time, our ten had to endure the rules, the curfews and the ban on cigarettes and alcohol, all under the watchful eye of the Bean an Tí and the Cinnire.
Desperately trying to absorb a cúpla focail to get them through the week, our ten do NOT take the challenge in their stride. Will they make it through a week of tears and tantrums, without breaking the rules – or breaking out?! – and how long before the Coláiste decide they need to pack their bags…
This series aired on RTE 1 during Seachtain na Gaeilge '09.

Did you enjoy the Gaeltacht when you were there?
- Yes, I loved it, why wouldn't I! The Bean an Tí is like my second mother...
- Is brea liom an... Ah who cares, had some brilliant summers there. Made great friends too.
- My Bean an Tí was Peig Sayers older sister... I suppose it was an experience.

- Walks on the beach, nice old ladies, brilliant dances and gourmet food. I had the time of my life!

Dia dhaoibh! Thanks for the interest in the programme! We filmed the series this month in Connemara but you'll have to wait til Seachtain na Gaeilge 2009 (usually around St Patrick's Day) to watch the show on RTE! We can tell you there was lots of drama though!! What did you love/hate about the Gaeltacht? What do you think the adults would have had the hardest time with??!!
