close About Me

Me, Myself, and I
ExBTSF aka Nessie was born on March 24th, 2008.

It had four awesome mods: Orla (Founder), Suz (Co-founder), Stephie and Gabby :)
For the last two years, this group has been one of the highlight of our lives. The story of Edward, Bella and Jacob has united Twilighters from all over the world, and we've all shared lots of precious memories together.

At one point, this group was -- hands down-- the best Twilight group on Bebo, but unfortunately, the group has decided to disband on 9th Oct, 2010.

This page marks as a remembrance. A legacy that will always be remembered by those who were so passionate, fond and loyal -- not only to the Twilight series, but to Nessie and the ExBTSF mods as well.

Thank you for all the support and loves. Without you guys, things would not have been the same. Thank you being with us right up to the end.

Happy Twilighting for Eternity,
EdwardxBella Twilight Series Forever :)

  • FAQ SECTION // Questions, Anyone???

Hi guys :D If you’ve found this place, that means you’re probably bored (and procrastinating) or most likely snooping around our page to find out more.

Click 'View all' to read it all! :D

On this forum thread, it’s reserved so you can randomly comment, ask questions about twilight (or us), make a complaint, offer a suggestion etc.

    FAQ SECTION (updated 15/2/2010)

    ***Twilight Questions***

Q: Do you know if Breaking Dawn will be a movie?

Breaking Dawn movie is yet to be confirmed.

HOWEVER—Although it hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, the producers have confirmed that they will be definitely proceeding with the film. Melissa Rosenberg is currently writing the script.

The producers are still in talks about whether Breaking Dawn movie should be in one or two parts (just like Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows), and how they’ll go about with the portrayal & development of Renesmee’s character in the film. It is noted that SUMMIT productions will not be distributing the final film, and that the Twilight Cast will start filming in Vancouver this fall (2010).

Q: Do you know if Midnight sun will be released?

Still on indefinite hold. No news or confirmation of its release date yet.

In a 2008 November interview, Meyer has said that she will eventually release Midnight Sun in two years, after everybody has forgotten about the leaking controversy of Midnight Sun's drafts, prior to BD's release.

However, back in Nov 2009, fans got the opportunity to ask Meyer questions via her website. Many people asked her about Midnight Sun, and here’s an extract of her response:

Summary: Meyer is not working on it now, and is in no rush to continue it or release it.

I am not working on Midnight Sun now. I don't have a plan for when I'll get to it; I don't know now what the right time for it will be.

In your questions, there were some erroneous conclusions about the situation which I'll try to set straight. First, Midnight Sun is not finished and locked in a safe, waiting for me to be done angsting over the leak. If it were done, I would be throwing it on the bookstore shelves myself. I'd love to be able to give it to all the people who are anxiously waiting for it.

Second, I am not upset about the leak. I haven't been for a long time; I was over it after about three weeks. Third, and most important, I am not trying to punish anyone. Not the persons who leaked it, not the people who read the leak, nobody. As I said, it would make me very happy to be able to give it to anyone who wants it.

So why the hold up? Because it's not finished and lying in a safe. It's not done, and finishing it is not a simple matter of sitting down in front of my computer and typing out the words; the words have to be there in my head to type out, and right now, they're not. I have to be in the zone to write any story, and trying to force myself into that zone is a waste of time, I've found.

I'll get back to Midnight Sun when the story is compelling to me again. Just because people want it so badly does not make it more write-able; kind of the opposite, actually. I need to be alone with a story to write, and Midnight Sun feels really crowded, if you know what I mean.

People write for different reasons. I have always written to make myself happy. If I'm enjoying a story, feeling the creativity flow, engrossed in a world, then I write and I write fast. If I'm not into it, I can't write. I've never been someone who writes on demand and I can't imagine working that way.

As cool as it would be to say to my favorite author, "You know, I'd really like to read a great book about a narwhal mafia. Write that for me, 'kay?" or even "I'd love a sequel to that last one," that's not how it works. How it works is that my favorite author writes a new book about whatever he/she is interested in. Maybe

  • The last (and extremely long) ExBTSF blog that you’ll ever read from us.

    Dedication
To TWILIGHT : For being an amazing series *at some point of our lives* & bringing all of us together and to YOU – for being so loyal and amazing not only to Nessie, but us mods as well. Thank you <3

    * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

    Hi there *waves*

This may not come as a big surprise, since most of you are aware that this has been an ongoing issue/possible rumour for ages. For many months now, I’ve been in deep contemplation, hesitating whether or not I should continue being a moderator for this Twilight page/group (aka Nessie).

Just to get to the point, I will be giving up my duties as a moderator. For awhile now, I was planning to abandon the Nessie-Bebo group, and that I was meant to stay with Nessie-Facebook up until the Breaking Dawn movies come out.

Nevertheless, I have decided to stop operating Nessie altogether from this day onwards.

It’s not really a big surprise, considering our group hasn’t been that active over the last 6 months, and plus with all the warnings about shutting down over the last 12 months. And I really hate to disappoint you guys, so I thought that I should not delay this decision any further.

If some of you are still sad/shocked about this, i hope you understand. For those who weren’t aware, most of the mods dropped out along our journey, so it was just me for quite awhile now. I’m currently at uni, and things have been terribly busy, and there’s so many things that I want to do. And besides, I have life xD

However, that’s not really the main reason.

My passion for Twilight has wavered so much since 2007/2008. At times, I can be the most passionate fan, but at the same time, I dislike Meyer, and I absolutely hate the series and the fandom (sorry ^ ^ and don’t worry, I don’t intend to burn my Twilight books. I’ll probably read it again from time to time...).

Personally, I think my Twilight-obsession was just a rebound thing (after Harry Potter, that is). My busy schedule, along with my hypocritical nature, just makes my role on Nessie more of an obligation thing, rather than a passionate thing. So yup, hope y’all understand.

Nevertheless, I do admit that I once loved Twilight a lot, but my love for it aint just the same for JKRowling and HP.

It has been a few good years though. We started Nessie (Bebo) back in late March 2008. Orla, the founder/Mother of Nessie, randomly passed by my Bebo page. She saw that I had a Twilight skin for my bebo page & liked the fact that I was absolutely in love with the books, and from that day on, we began to be really great buddies.

I think it was the next day, or day after we met on Bebo, Orla suddenly told me that she created a Twilight group on Bebo on the spur of the moment, and she asked me to help moderate the group with her. I was gonna say no, considering that I was in my last year of high school (you know, the big year of exams & all). And it was just bizarre, because we barely knew each other at the time.

So I jumped on board, and tried to kick-start the group by updating and asking lots of people to join. After a few days, I then asked Steph (a friend of a good friend of mine) to become moderator (because she was also a massive Twilighter), and on the other side, Orla had asked Gabby to become a moderator as well. So from there, we slowly started our wonderful group.

At first, it was terribly quiet and slow because it was just a group that was dedicated to the Twilight books. But when we found out that the books were gonna be turned into films, we were absolutely excited because who’d thought that we’d be seeing our precious books on the big screen??

On behalf of all the mods, I know that being part of Nessie was one of the best years of our lives. As months went by, we began to witness lots of only incredible and dedicated Twilighters around the world --- but we were also shocked to find that we have lots

  • Just a 'brief' review of ECLIPSE Mwuahaha (Don't bite me!) (Can also be found on FB)

    (Click view all)

After weeks of reading fans’ raving reviews about Eclipse, I finally watched it!! Everyone's been saying that Eclipse was the best out of the 3 movies so far (well, around 75% of fandom), but for me...

When I walked into the room, I was so ecstatic. I couldn’t wait to see it! But when I came out, I was utterly disappointed & I was actually glad that it was all over (*implements a shield-barrier for protection lol*). Dont get me wrong, there were some brilliant parts, but somehow the ‘bad’ stuff overshadowed the ‘good’ parts....

Overall: Although the film was faithful to the book, what made the film disappointing was that they kind of ...tried too hard (if that makes sense). I liked it how they showed stuff from Riley&newborn’s side of story – except there was a ‘bit’ too much focus on them. Too many things were happening at the same time, and the film was constantly shifting from doom/fight scenes to light/romance scenes. There wasn’t a consistent mood/tone that binded all the scenes together, as they didn’t really flow well. They were long, & very choppy.

And at times, the plot/scenes was so stupid. (E.g. that scene where Bella ditches Edward&school to ride with Jake. That was so horribly done! There was no rivalry, no rebellious Bella, Bella seems to be ignorant&selfish&dominant – she was meant to be controlled by Edward! argh). In the end, I think both Rosenberg & Slade is to be blamed for many of the film’s faults (I think Slade was only good with the fight scenes D: )

The acting : Well, the ‘romance’ scenes went up a notch (or maybe it’s because their acting reflects the characters? – you know, the charas are getting used to each other in the book, hence the actors have to make sure they show that in the film as well...)

I’m not sure if it was me, but I found the trio’s acting very wooden in this film. In a lot of scenes, I couldn’t feel the emotional depth in their characters. Remember New Moon? I can gush about this 24/7, but you can see/sense that genuine emotional depth/chemistry between Jake and Bella in every scene.

But Eclipse, it was disappointing to see ‘nothing’ between the characters in most of the scenes. It was as if, they’re just acting the scenes, and stuff ‘just happens’. You can’t feel ‘it’ between their characters anymore!

I think KStew is to be blamed for this odd atmosphere or wooden emotion/chemistry issue (well, she is in almost every scene that involves with either Edward or Jake haha). Not sure if you guys noticed, but FilmBella’s completely changed in this film. KStew’s portrayal of Bella have always been different from BookBella, but this time, it’s different.

There was seriously no emotion coming from Bella. She was just ‘odd’ (and ‘wooden’) throughout the movie. FilmBella suddenly became much more...’emotionless’ (e.g. ignorant, demanding, selfish, manipulative etc.....) – which reflects much of BookBella’s personality. *has a horrible feeling that i will get hatemail for this hahaha*

So is this just a case of KStew’s bad acting? Or is KStew attempting to act like BookBella for Bella now? This part is quite debatable, so yeah, it’s just something to think about =D I mean, I think one of the best (chemistry) scenes in the film, was probably when Jake was carrying her, and they shared this brief moment... *_____*

    #What i loved#

    - the fight scenes :D they were epic, but they were too short! xDD (if only they were shot in 3D.....hehehe)

    - Rosalie & Jasper’s flashbacks (again, i wish they were a bit longer!!! NikkiReed/Rosalie was brilliant <3 and Jasper’s wig...I APPROVE! :D Well, just for the flashbacks, not the present time)

    - i was happy that Jasper got to shine in this film =) his character deserved it so. Now...if only they do Emmett’s or Alice’s backstories justice!!

    - Charlie natur

ECLIPSE is out!! And we're starting to see a lot of mixed-- yet mostly positive reviews of the film!! Here's what Variety and Hollywood Reporter had to say about it... </b>

    Variety:

Eclipse" feels the most cinematic of the series so far, taking scenes out of the lunchroom and Swan house as much as possible. Visual effects have improved considerably, with no fewer than 11 companies working on everything from Edward's sparkling skin to CG wolves that realistically blend with live-action characters. A scene of Bella side-by-side with canine Jacob feels perfectly plausible, but nothing beats the sight of vampires and werewolves going at it in the climactic battle. If anything, the digital work outshines the other departments, with bad makeup, lifeless wigs and creepy contacts being the elements that disrupt the fantasy.

    Hollywood Reporter

Bottom Line: The teen vampire series finally hits its stride with an entertaining mix of romance and action fantasy. Since Rosenberg’s writing has never been the problem in the series, much of the credit for the success of Eclipse probably belongs to the director, David Slade.

He quickly establishes a rapid yet unhurried pace, a willingness to let tongue perch in cheek and an unapologetic indulgence in this basic fantasy of every teenage girl — that two high school hunks are in love with her and willing to die for her, except, of course, that one is already undead.

The three leads shine under his direction. Stewart anchors everything with a finely tuned if not slightly underplayed performance that catches her character in moments of doubt about the course and the man she has chosen. Pattinson makes you forget the white makeup and weird eye contact lenses to concentrate on a person torn over his love for a woman and the sacrifice he knows she will have to make to stay with him. But it’s Lautner who nearly steals the movie with his ripped muscle and steely acting. He definitely has the “it” factor Hollywood always looks for."

EW.com has acknowledged Jackson as the 'most improved vampire actor" in ECLIPSE! -->

Regardless, he’s great in Eclipse, particularly in the flashback sequence, when we get to enjoy the Southern drawl in his voiceover and wa
