- À propos de moi
- Since leaving school I became a signal engineering designer, plus a writer and poet, a radio presenter & programme producer on several small local stations in Scotland, as well as a voice-over for some radio commercials. I once had my own bedroom radio & recording studio (with bubble wrap on the walls for soundproofing - but I kept popping the bubbles). I was a DJ with my own entertainments business and have gigged in nightclubs, bowling alleys, discos, shopping malls, supermarkets and various other stores. I've set up radio stations throughout Scotland. I also created and owned copyright of the name, format & concept of a local station near Glasgow, built around the word YOUR. I was a director of a nightclub, a pub and a mobile bar business. These days I do internet broadcasting (podcasting), chatting to famous people and so on, plus major roadshow events in towns and malls across Scotland. I'm also building loads of websites and networking sites for communities across Scotland.
- Music
- Check my huge selection of videos. It's not just heavy rock, there are some quality ballads in there too, as well as soul, blues, electronica and (some) dance, plus a few protest songs and a few daft comedy songs. It is mostly singer-songwriter quality stuff. Have a trawl through my selection, you might come across songs that you haven't heard for years, so enjoy them. I've also written blogs about some of the videos, so there's a reason why they're on my Bebo, whilst some others have been included because they are great pieces of motion art and creative brilliance. Hey, once a DJ, always a DJ - it's never going to leave me.
- Films
- Comedies and true life films.
Definitely not chick-flicks, action films or sci-fi's because they are just a load of shite. I can never appreciate some guy wearing a mask saying "earth must be destroyed" or words to that effect. - Sports
- Darts and any sport that doesn't include a ball. I don't do sport. It's a waste of a Saturday.
- Scared Of
- Nothing. No, honestly, I'm scared of nothing. If it's out there and meant to be tried or done, I'll probably do it. I even make a point of sitting in the front seat of rollercoasters.
- Happiest and Amused When
- Cuddling up to my girlfriend. Entertaining the public. Chilling out. Doing things I'm not supposed to and nobody's allowed to.
- My Motto.
- "There's only one way to find out, let's do it."
I usually say that if someone asks me a question like, "Do you think that's possible?" or "How are we/you going to do that?" or "Is that going to work?" You'll never know until you try it or do it. - Favourite things.
- My girlfriend and my pals of course but I also like nature.

Blog-alog-alog!!!
I had to call it something!
Anyway, seasons greetings folks. Yours truly back on Bebo again (though I'm busier on Facebook - www.facebook.com/arthurgrainger ) , wishing you all happiness and cheer for this time of year.
It's really a medieval mid-winter festival to get us through the dark nights, which has been hijacked by a few religious groups to celebrate some bearded bloke's birthday, apparently - christ knows whose it is!!!!
Apologies for neglecting my Bebo friends again but I still think of you all dearly and I don't want my fans to think that I've deserted them.
For those of you who have recently joined my bebo friendship list, read some of my blogs. Although many are to do with the videos I post up, I have some that are mere comedy thoughts of my own.
Cheers the noo!

Where have I been?
Crikey, it's been a while since I spent any time on my Bebo site. I'm bad. I've been a wee bit unfaithful to my firends over here on Bebo, whilst I've been paying so much attention to my Facebook profile (www.facebook.com/arthurgrainger - yes I do have my own personal facebook domain URL).
I've also been doing a lot of other stuff, such as continuing to build all those town and village Bebo, MySpace, FlickR, Twitter and YouTube sites for each and every town and village in Lanarkshire (more than 300 of them multipled by all the networkng sites that I just mentioned).
So, I've not runaway, I'm just over on Facebook land if you need to keep a track of my goings-on (for whatever reason). If you haven't already added me on as a Facebook friend, please do so.
Meanwhile, just in case I forget to revisit my Bebo site, have a nice Christmas.0 commentaires 38 jours

Nona Hendryx - Why Should I Cry
I had a debate in work today. Someone suggested that Basement Jaxx were probably the first musicians to bring out a pop video that featured fish in a tank and were surprised that the theme had not been used very often before. Of course with me having an encyclopedic knowledge of music, I remembered the video to this 80's electro-funk song that is deep in my vynil collection.
Nona Hendryx is one of so many artsist that failed to get recognised for much of their material (except amongst people like me who follow music quite closely) - yet she is responsible for writing and being the strongest voice of a song that most of us know and love. She used to to be a member of a soul band, along with Patti LaBelle and one or two others. All of them sought solo careers that barely got off the ground.Yet as a band they were fairly successful and also had a huge global hit with a song that has been covered many times and even featured on the soundtracks of a few films, like Moulin Rouge. How many times have you turned up your radio to Labelle's Lady Marmalade (and equivalent cover versions)?
Nona now lives in England and you may see her performing at gay pride fetsivals throughout the UK, being an active campaigner for gay rights.

Hi Arthur. Thanks very much for your kind comments about Original 106. You are right about the state of AM radio, I have a suspicion it may all be part of the masterplan to make it sound dire, so they can say it's not working and clear the way for TOTAL networking. But what do I know!
Hopefully you'll stay tuned to us, and it's very nice to hear from you.
Cheers
Martin
