Well 2007 will take a lot of beating. Here is what I have planned for 2008:-

X-Factor:- 18th January AberdeenWas actually quite entertaining. Same difference did "Breaking Free" so I was happy. Rhydian is a legend and Leon is still a fucking twat!

High School Musical :- 20th February Edinburgh Awesome fun! Wore my legendary HSM t-shirt (even if it was under a jumper). The guy that played Troy was quite old, chubby and a bit of a goon though.

Russell Howard:- 6th March Aberdeen Was an quality night overall. Russell Howard was on top form. He did repeat some jokes from last year but who cares!

Westlife :- 22nd March Glasgow My boys were on top form as always. It was their 10th Anniversary tour so they played various songs that they have done over the past 10 years. The gay dude in front of me dancing was hilarious! The trip down to Glasgow was definitely worth it!

Lion King Theater Production :- 11th April London:- Was good. Music was of course what you would expect. It was pretty clever how they did everything. Was quite slow moving in places though.

London Marathon :- 13th April London:- Well what an awesome experience! The actual marathon was a lot easier than I expected. I probably should have pushed myself more as I wasn't actually that tired or out of breath afterwards but it was so hard to get a decent pace cus of the amount of people around. The atmosphere was unbelievable and the crowd were insane, because I had my name on my shirt I constantly had people shouting my name and cheering me on, they even gave out free sweets and stuff. I even had girls perving on me and telling me I looked hot while running. Only celebrity I managed to see was Melanie Boorman a page 3 girl from the Sun, I was gonna offer to push her the whole way round or give her a piggy back but decided she wasn't up to my standards!
Muscles were fine afterwards but the blisters on my feet were brutal, never had blisters that bad before.
Never mind, blisters and pain last for days, memories last forever (I saw that on someones sign while I was running)!

Oh and I did it in 3 hours 50 not great but there was so many people it was hard to get your own pace going so your speed was dictated by the people around you. Ah well, bring on the Inverness Marathon!!!!!

BACKSTAGE Westlife!!! :- 16h May Aberdeen Wee thanks to Mike I managed to get backstage for the Westlife concert. It was aweosme fun. Managed to get my own mini fan club out the back os there is probably some photos of me on some little girls bebo. Mike was awesome as were my boys. Didn't get to meet them which is a shame but got to watcht he whole concert and met the MacDonald brothers. Fun and games.

Kvaerner Ball :- 17th May Aberdeen Free food, free drink, free entertainment and good company. Who can complain about that? I was right about there being a tranny entertainer as well. Time went by far too quickly though.

Baker Hughes 10K :- 24th May Aberdeen Well I hadn't done any running since the Marathon, had stayed up drinking till 3 and was recovering rom being ill so it was a struggle. Managed a time of 41.19 which is a personal best. Myles managed to finish in the top 50 which is awesome! It was mad sunny so it was hot work!

Girls Aloud:- 27th May Aberdeen Man, GIrls Aloud are smoking hot! I definately had a good time. The support act "The Saturdays" were unbelieveable as well!

Jimmy Carr:- 23rd June Aberdeen Well I was a bit dubious as I wasn't that big a fan before but Jimmy Carr was hilarious!

Aberdeen vs Man Utd : - 12th July Aberdeen Well it wasn't the best match I have ever seen but on the whole it was good fun. Giggs and Rooney could have actually skined the entire Aberdeen team if they had really tried!

Inverness Marathon/10K :- 5th October Inverness :- Hmmmmm do I do the 10K or the Marat

Well on Saturday Morton, Rachel, Vicky and I went to see Derren Brown at the music hall. I was looking forward to it as I have been quite impressed in the past with some of the stuff of his I have seen on TV and heard that his show last year was pretty good.

At the start of the show there was aq box suspended from the roof above the stage. We were told it was put up there 5 mintues before we all arrived and no one could tamper with it or get into it without us all seeing.

Anyway the show went on and he was doing some quite good stuff. Before the halftime break he said that there were 150 envelopes that had been given to the stewards. What he wanted us to do was write a question on the card inside the envelope, seal it back, write our initials and row letter on the front and put it in a bowl in the middle of the stage. Me and Vicky both decided to do it and when you were filling out the card you had to fill in your name, birthday, the question for Derren and also a personal fact about yourself. I filled it in, holding out no hope mine would get picked, and put it in the bowl on stage.

So the show continued and basically he was picking cards out at random then answering peoples questions and somehow managing to get lots of details about them. Me and Morton were sitting there and he picked out a card and said “This is a 34 year old female”. Hmmmmm that could be Vicky. “Her initials are V.N and she is sitting in the front row”. Cue me and Morton bursting into hysterics.
Derren went on to say that Vicky had just been on holiday, managed to guess (although “Guess” is probably the wrong word to use) where she had been, that she was learning to speak the language and stuff like that. He didn’t, however, manage to guess the colour of the box on her dress (which was her question to Derren).
So he did a few more people this way and then announced he was gonna do some blindfolded! (Ooooooooooooh). He did a few people blindfolded and guessed all their details. Then he said “Right, this is gonna be the last one”, he picked out a handful and threw some away until he was left with just one. The show then went like this:-
DB:- “Right this is a male who is 24”
JB (semi Joking):- “Oh Morton it could be me!”
DB:-“Hmmmmm I think the personal bit of information is something to do with music”
JB:-“Oh shit Morton, I think I could be in trouble now!”
DB:-“His name is..........J............JASON!”
JB (Embarrassed to hell) :- “Oh shit Morton. I’m Here Derren!”
(Microphone comes over)
DB:- “Is that Jason?”
JB:- “Yes”
DB:- “Ahhhh so you’re a Pisces?”
JB :- “Ehhhhhhhhhh Yeah!”
DB:- “and do you know what day you were born on?”
JB:- “No Idea”
DB:- “Well I think it was a Sunday. You can confirm that after the show..........Anyway, I can tell that something is the envelope is to do with music, is that correct?”
JB:- “Yup”
DB:- “Hmmmm I think it is about your favortie artist or group or something?”
JB (getting embarrassed as I know where this is heading):- “Correct”
(I look over to where Rachel and Vicky are sitting and can see them laughing. I think they knew where this was heading!)
DB:- “Hmmm I think it is a group of people. Can you concentrate hard on the main singer”
JB:- “Ok”
DB:- “I can tell you are a bit embarrassed about this”
JB (laughing slightly):-“Yeah”
(cue some quiet laughter from the audience)
DB:- “Keep concentrating on the main singer..................I cant seem to get anything from you..................ah is it because there isn’t a main singer?”
JB:-“Yeah that’s right”
DB:- “................................I
 ts Westlife, you favortie group is Westlife!!!!!”
JB (laughing and very embarrassed):- “yeah that’s right”
(Cue loud cheers and laughter from the crowd. Everyone loves Westlife you see!!!!)

So then he did a few more things. The end of the show came and he took down the box

Westlife:- 10/04 AECC Couldn't go as I was in Florida.
UFC 70:- 21/04 Manchester Myles couldn't go so Ebayed the tickets
BILLY SHEARS GIG:- 21/04 Forum:- Quality gig and the place was packed!
Balfron 10K:- 22/04 Didn't go as I was out the night before
KVAERNER BALL:- 28/04 Aberdeen :- Good fun, no one would dance to Girls Aloud though
PAOLO NUNTINI:- 01/05 Glasgow : Another good concert although was a lot of travelling! Cover of the Jungle Book was quality!
JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE:- 03/05 Glasgow : I was actually incredibly impressed by the show. Set from Timbaland and an all round good show. Glad to see he used the dance moves I taught him!
GIRLS ALOUD:- 15/05 AECC :- Awesome seeing all 4 future Mrs Brownhills on stage. Saw nipple as well so that's always good.
UEFA CUP FINAL:- 16/05 Glasgow : Got our moneys worth anyway due to extra time and penalties! Good atmosphere, good laugh and a good game of footy!
FLAT WARMING:- 19/05 :- Decent night with a good turn out. Flat was a mess though!
SCOTTISH NATIONAL FIREWORKS CHAMPIONSHIPS:- 26/05 :- Really good but was very cold!!! Food left a bit to be desired as well. At least the night finished with a bang!
ABERDEEN 10K:- 27/05 :- finished with a 44:57. Bit dissappointed but has prepared me for the next one!
DERREN BROWN :- 02/06 :- Awesome. See other blog entry!
ABERDEEN 10K PART 2:- 12/06:- 42:10, a PB and no too bad. Could still get lower though. There was a awful head wind!
UFC 72 :- 16/06 Belfast:- Good fun trip. Fights were amazing, atmosphere was amazing. Shame Belfast deosn't have any bars at all! Got to meet Jason Macdonald in the airport as well!
DAMIEN RICE:- 04/10 Glasgow:- Unbelieveable gig. The guy is awesome live and he put some really good little touches into his show.
INVERNESS 10K:- 07/10:- Managed to run a good time and was a decent, enjoyable run. Staying in a tent was fucking freezing though and Inverness still isn't ready for a dude wearing a luminous pink rugby top. Fucking backwards city!
WWE :- 20/10 Aberdeen :- Usual WWE greatness! Batista admitting they were all tired and couldn't be bothered wrestling was the highlight though. When he said "fucking" the look on the kids and parent faces was priceless!
JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOUR DREAMCOAT:- 30/10 :- Pure awesome! Was a quality muscial!
THE VERVE!!!!!!!!!:- 02/11 :- Considering I have been waiting to see this gig for 10 years I was hoping it would live up to my expectations. It was awesome! The place was packed and they played every song I had hoped they would. Cheers to Claire for accompanying me at last minute as well!
